tina11.jpgHi all, just finished my first little 13" bear kit, I named her Tina
after my Grandmother. I had a lot of fun making her, and
learned alot and still have loads to learn. But thanks to all
of you here I feel I will have support with each baby I make.

Here is a pic of her....................

Hahahaha,
Those all look great, wait till I post my first one, it a cheaper bear kit I bought last week.
Right now he is stuffed & sewn up, have not put in the eyes yet.
I think he turned out ok , except the fur that came with the kit
was kinda thin & sparse, and it was hard trying to hide all the seams.
I'm hoping it won't be as noticeable with better quality thicker fur? ....LOL bear_grin

Ohhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh he is adorable! What a cutie!
I'm afraid I will have trouble with my westie Tiffani
she thinks anything in this house with fur on it is HERS! LOL
Thanks for sharing  bear_original

Hi all, first thanks for the warm welcome yesterday  bear_original

I'm working on my first bear kit and having loads of fun. I put all
the joints in last night and will start stuffing today. He looks
pretty cute even though he is flat as a pancake. LOL
At least his arms and legs are all going the right way.  bear_thumb

I had a few questions first...... what kind of paint
will work for shading, I have a ton of acrylics because
that is what I use on my dolls, will that work? Do
you need to heat set after? If so how? Blow dryer?  Also can you add paint
to the glass eyes?? If so , how would you set the paint
so if would not come off, use heat or a sealer?

Also I was reading in one of my many book that you
can needle sculpt around the eye area before setting
the eyes.  Does this work well?

Thanks in advance,
Tami

Thanks all,

I will post a pic of my first bear when I'm finished, I'm sure I will be on

I posted more about myself in the New Members section.   bear_original

Hi all , I'm new to the art of making bears, still doing some research and
working on my first bear.
I will be sewing with the machine, what is the best thread to use?
I had read somewhere 100% Nylon?
Would this be ok?
What about to attach the eyes?
Thanks,
Tami
