What a cutie pie!
Here is a picture I took of Cooper today, he is so cute, I love his face I took him to my vet today for a complete checkup, I will know the results of the blood work tomorrow, she said, he was healthy and needed to gain about 3 lbs, Tiffani can teach him how to do that
We do have to have his little teeth cleaned Oct 13............His grooming will be next tuesday and I will post another picture then......He hates it when I leave his sight
, I had to go back out to the car at the clinic and the girl behind the counter said she would hold him, they met me back at the door when I was coming back in, she said he started crying really loud when you walked out ..........
He is so afraid I'm going to leave him
I told him he was stuck with us! LOL...........I'm jumping in the tub and Tiff is down stair baby sitting.......
This is how Tiff works her baby sitting.............
Little Cooper is home now after his neuter, he cries for me to sit and rub him
, his little voice sounded weak when he cried out a few times,
wonder how many nights he cried like that at the shelter
He seemed to really love me softly brushing his little head, cut out a few mats on his lips, can't wait till next week to get him groomed, have to wait at least 8 days before a bath, poor sweety, he smells like urine and has so many tangles in his little fur, I would have loved to have had him groomed before the neuter but the shelters follow such a government red tape they won't let you...Tiff seems to really like him and him like her, I think she really will when he can run and play with her.
How very sad and what a loss
I knew they would do it!
I hate all hunting, should be outlawed.
If they want to hunt something, let them hunt wanted fugitives
Tami, did you find him through Save a Dog on fb? I see all the cute ones you post. My next dog will be a rescue....wish I could take them all.
I did see him on face book, our local shelter has a face book page and they post the dog available...I saw him and could not live without him
This is the exact reason I stopped eating meat 4 yrs ago........Please watch.
I was emailing a lady on my face book that is a volunteer at the shelter that I adopted Cooper from, I asked her if she knew anything about how little Cooper ended up at the shelter and was asking about his micro chip................she told me the shelter contacted his family and told them he was there and they said to keep him they did not want him anymore
I know that is what happens to 75% of the dogs and cats at a shelter, but it did make me cry
, I guess it just hit close to home since I'm adopting him...How could someone have a fur baby for 5 years then turn their back on him????
He's gorgeous Tami!

How come something as adorable as him ended up in a shelter?
Poor little boy but little does he know what a fab life he's going to have from now on.......!!
Hope his op goes well & please give him a hug from me?
Julia xx
I agree, he is so sweet, he has a micro chip so he was a loved pet at one time. It is sad that we will never know, but I plan on giving him an ABOVE happy life now!
Thanks so much, his name is Cooper! The shelter named him that and we are keeping it...Mini Cooper
Yes he is a mini schnauzer, and so sweet, it may take Tiff some time, but I think she will warm up to the idea! I told her she would have to teach him everything she knows...
We have adopted a new fur baby from our local shelter today, he has to be neutered so we can't pick him up until Tuesday
He is such a cutie, the little guy is matted and dirty...........Tiffs groomer will fix that He will need our Vet to clean his teeth, I wanted it done with they neutered him, but the clinic said they don't have the machine to clean them and we did not get to pick who did the neuter.............he is 5 yrs old and he looked up at me with those teddy bear eyes and that was that.............he does not even know how wonderful and how loved he will be

DENVER ZOO’S FOUR TIGER CUBS MEET THE OUTDOORSVisitors Can See the Quadruplet Tiger Cubs Now
Denver, CO (August 31, 2010) – Denver Zoo’s four endangered, Amur tiger cubs took a breath of fresh air Monday as they explored their outdoor habitat for the first time. The cubs – females Zaria and Akasha and males Nikolai and Thimbu – were each given a clean bill of health in their last exams and are ready to meet the public. The quadruplet cubs, born May 31, are the first of their species to be born at Denver Zoo since 2003. Just in time for Labor Day, visitors can see the foursome now at the Feline II Building. The best time to see them will be between 10 a.m. and 2 p.m.
The cubs were born to mother, Koshka (Koosh-kuh), and father, Waldemere (Wald-uh-meer). Waldemere was born at Denver Zoo in 2003, but Koshka was born at the Beardsley Zoo in Bridgeport, Connecticut in 2005 and came to Denver in late 2008. The two were paired under recommendation of the Association of Zoos and Aquariums (AZA) Species Survival Plan (SSP) which ensures healthy populations and genetic diversity among zoo animals. Fortunately, the couple has proved to be an excellent match.
Amur Tigers are seasonal breeders and in North America generally breed January through June. After a gestation period of approximately three months, two to four cubs are born in a sheltered den. They are nursed by their mother, who rarely leaves them. At about two weeks old their eyes open and their first teeth begin to erupt.
Amur tigers are classified as critically endangered, with an estimated population of less than 400 individuals remaining in the wild. These animals were once called Siberian tigers because they were found throughout Siberia. They are now almost completely confined to the Far East portion of Asia along the Amur River and because of this they are now commonly called Amur tigers. In addition to habitat loss, the biggest threats to these tigers comes from poaching, both for their fur and their other body parts which are used in traditional Chinese medicine.
Amur tigers are the largest member of the cat family. They can grow to nearly four-feet-tall and more than seven-feet-long. Koshka is smaller than Waldemere, weighing in at more than 280 pounds during her wellness exam, while Waldemere weighs an estimated 360 pounds. Amur tigers also have longer hair and more white on their coats than other tigers.
Done!!!
