Thanks, Karen!  I kind of had a little story in my head about him while I was creating him. I thought he would think of himself as the king of the seas. and he was always ready for an adventure like pirating away some of the ship's golden treasure, the captain's cheese.

Janice, That's fantastic that you adopted them! My son used have a very sweet dumbo eared rat named Fauna. She was the sweetest little rat ever. It took me a long time before I would let him have one. I used volunteer at a bird rescue and would feed rats to the hawks and owls. I couldn't see owning one and still be able to feed them to the hawks. So my son had to wait until I quit the center. Rats really do make great pets and they have such wonderful personalities.

It's been a long while since I could post. It's great to see all the wonderful new creations.  I just posted this little rat on eBay on Sunday. His auction will end this Sunday at 6:45 pm PST. He's 6 1/2 inches tall and was needle felted from an assortment of wools. He has Apoxy Sculpt hands and feet. His costume was all handsewn by me, even his tri-corner hat. He has a reserve price of $165.00 and a Buy It Now of $295.00 I hope you like him  :rose:

My favorite suppliers are Weir Dolls (weirdolls.com) & Winderwood Farms(eBay id wind4934). They're both located in Upstate New York. Weir Dolls has some great Corriedale wool with tons of different colors.  Bob at Winderwood is very nice and knowledgeable, plus he has all kinds of fiber. Llama and alpaca have natural furry look. Good luck with your felting.

Thanks again everyone for the compliments on Honey.  Unfortunately she didn't sell after several attmpts on eBay in her Bunny costume. So I took the liberty of redressing her and putting the bunny costume on a black cat that I had done near the same time. The kitty sold as hope Honey will.
Here's a pic of the kitty in the bunny costume. I thought it was pretty funny.

I haven't been on for a while. My internet server has beeen rather blinky. There are quite few pandas on on and they are all awesome. So here's my little girl. Her auction started last night on eBay.  Her name is Mei Lin and she's fully needle felted from Baby LLama & Corriedale wool. She's 4 1/2 inches tall, seated and 6 inches from head to toe. She's five way thread jointed and has steel shot to give her some heft. She comes complete with her ceramic teacup and saucer, her needle felted fortune cookie and her "tea bag" filled with lavendar buds.  I'm having a "Sale Of Sorts". She's being offered with a very low starting bid and no reserve price.
