Emma, you didn't waste your time!!! The head might not look the way you want it to look, but you practised and now you know how it doesn't work.
And you never know, one day you might want to make a head that looks like the one you just made and then you know how to do it.

I'm extremely delighted to tell you that my "George" won the 1st palce award in the miniture bear category of the Taiwan Teddy Bear Creative Awards.
The winners have already been published on their website three weeks ago, but I could hardly believe that I won because the other nominated bears were truly outstanding.
I can't tell you how often I went to that website to check if it was really true that George won....
Well, since Monday I can be sure that he won:
George came back from his trip to Taiwan, together with a beautiful award and a  certificate that clearly states that he won the 1st place. Included in the package, there was a nice calendar.
Isn't this a wondeful early Christmas present?

But I win't stop following the work of Dr. Rogers.
No, I will continue to follow them and do everything that I can to help spread the word that black bears are not fierce beasts that must be killed but gentle, intelligent animals that need to be protected.
I mean, we might not be able to stop hunting by law, but we can help to create a society that doesn't accept bear hunting!!!!

I think at the moment none of us is able to speak about what happened, but we shouldn't give up following the researchers.
Instead, we should try to get a law that forbids bear hunting completely!!!!!
I know, I shouldn't talk about wanting to change the laws of a country where I don't life, but I love Hope really and so much wanted to see how her life went on, the first time she was falling in love, when she was having her own cubs and now all this might never happen. (I'm still hoping she will appear again ).
And I can't imagine that there is any real need for bear hunting in the US. I mean, people there won't starve and i don't think they will be forced to walk around naked without bear hunting, also, you have many other sports like basketball or baseball, so why shoot innocent animals wo just want to survive?

This is so sad, I keep praying that everything is fine and Hope is still alive.
I wish I could go into the woods myself and help looking for Hope, but it's too far away from Germany, so I have to keep praying.

That is really terrible, I'm so sorry to read how your poor little doggie had to suffer and in your place I would not be pleased, either, to see that dog without muzzle.
Did you report this to the police or any other authority?
Please, do so!
Don't understand me wrong, I'm really an animal lover, but that dog is dangerous, and there have been enough (too many) incidents, when children have been killed by such biests.
