Oh, Shannon, that such a bad luck!
I really hope you find a way to track these boxes : maybe try to see in what charity then could have gone. Could be too simple to work, though.
Anyway, good luck!

Now you know that next time you have to move boxes of teddy bear making stuff, you'd better write in huge letters : beware of having them follow Shannon!

Sophie.
Just considering the graphism of the photos, I picked : Lilies2 for each element looked perfectly placed and the lily is in strategic place where to catch the eye... plus I like the colours and well, all about it. I also like the way it looks like you really see the clouds, not just their eflect in the water, it looks like the clouds are melting with the water. In Lilies3, this magic is not anymore as the leaves look like they are in the sky plus the "movement" of the leaves and flower in diagonal from corner to corner gives a feeling like they try to flee. despite its beautiful colour contrast it has a little something perturbating for the eye. Lilies2 is better balanced, has less movement, less rythm, and is producing a feeling of peace plus is very relaxing. Concerning Lilies4, it as an interesting play of lights but it inspires me disorder. If you look well at it, the leaves' "movement" goes into two opposite diagoanls so the eye is a bit lost and perturbated.
I picked Hitchcok's nightmare because it s subjects are placed on a beautiful diagonal, for its rythm and its originality, for the ambiance it's producing. It really looks very professional.
I picked Tracks Diagonal also for the rythm created by the railroad planks, the contrast between the gravels and the snow, for the way the railroad catches the lights. Now I wonder if you could crop it so the railroad would go from top left corner to top bottom corner...
I hope that helps...

Hi!
You are a lucky one... That little bear is adorable. I do love her colour!!!! Just a matter of taste...
You are right in what you say, Jessie.
I am the sort of person who loves making colourful bears and also loves having this kind of bears in my hug. As teddy bear makers, we are free to play with shapes, textures and colours the way we want. Some will prefer reproducing what is in nature as best as they can while others will allow themselves every excentricity they wish.
But at the end, teddy bears are little fluffy or non-fluffy balls that are there to bring and share love.

Sophie.
Hi Julia!
Please, as you are new to this forum, tell us a little bit about yourself in the appropriate section of the forum!
Now to try answering to your question, I would be you, I would go to my post office, as they are the best placed to answer you properly. Maybe they have a website where you would even find your answers.
I know that there can be additional charges for the seller at delivery in some countries but I am sure quite a few people here will be able to explain you.
I can tell you that from Frances, postage can get quite expensive when posting abroad. So before sending a bear, I weigh it, and check how much I will have to pay to add that price the the price of the bear to calculate the full amount.
Keep in mind it will be safer to add insurance to your packqges.
Beary hugs,
Sophie.
So I joined the fun too. You can find me typing my real name.
Beary hugs,
Sophie.
Thank you, Lisa, for your invite!
Hi dear friends!
I am still in my period of almost non-teddy bear making... so that's why I do not post much.
I am well. I am just back from the swimming pool. i decided it was more than time to do something to loose the few extra kg I took recently otherwise I will not be able to wear my clothes anymore!!!!
been swimming for a whole hour, until my muscles were sore. Will try going every week.
Out of that, I am still writting for the newspaper. I have been a few weeks without studying for different reasons, but all that had to be done in that period of time is done, so back at it now!
I made a couple of backs for my boyfriend's nieces :

They love their bags as well as their parents, so I am relieved.
Oh, and I almost forgot to tell you that my dad gave me his new camera as it could not fit in his pocket!!!! So I now have a beautiful Panasonic Lumix FZ38. I should be able to do nice macro photos with it. it is taking some time to get used to its many possibilities. Plus I soon discovered I could add some lenses to it like we could do with a reflex camera, just using an adaptator. So looking forward to try that too.
An who knows, maybe in a few years I will treat me with a reflex camera...
Beary hugs,
Sophie.

Hi dear friends!
Last sunday, we went to a couple of local flea markets and I found a great plush bear there for a ridiculous bargain price of only 2 euros!!!!
I do not usually buy plush toys, but as soon as I spotted the Steiff tags on him, I asked for the price and quickly bought it without telling the lady she could have earned much more from it!
This is Victor from Steiff, the christmas one 30 cm tall, from 2008, which retail price is around £25...
This photo is from internet, not a photo of my own Victor but mine is the same. I will take photos of him later.
I removed his tags (he still had all of them) except the ear tag, of course, and bathed him very carefully. Now he is happy. He was not particularly dirty, but as I did not know what was his previous life, I preferred doing it. I will put his paper tags in a box with my other bears' tags.
He really is a lovely plush bear, very soft and cuddly and looks of great quality. He is my first Steiff bear.
Beary hugs,
Sophie.

As a French buyer myself I would not even think about doing such a bad thing!!!! I am well aware of the legnth it can take for a bear or whatever else to travel and three days is just a dream time!!!!
If one day I can afford one of your bears, be sure I will be a lovely buyer, Melissa!
But I am sure you would not doubt about it, would you?
Beary hugs,
Sophie.
Have fun trying that pattern, girls!
Please, be lovely to show them on TT when they are done!
Beary hugs,
Sophie.
Hope must be sad ; she loved so much playing with him.
I also look forward to learn why he died. Maybe he hate something he should'nt...
So very sad!
Beary hugs,
Sophie.
I got some messages from Payapl saying the guy sent a claim about fraudulous use of his account. So I had to answer it and I refunded the money and then another message from ebay said all was sorted. I just hope I did not loose money in that process...
I stil do not understand what happened...
I emailed Paypal to ask them : now I hope the email was properly sent : as soon as I clisked on send, it brought me back to the welcome page of Paypal and I was logged off.
Beary hugs,
Sophie.
Thanks for your answers, Joanne and Becky. I think I will call them, thats looks like the best thing to do.
Beary hugs,
Sophie.
Hi Martina!
Thanks for your view point.
I had a quick chat on Facebook with a fellow TTer who told me that apparently "You've got money" is the usual email title we get if someone sent us some money and that the email sender is not paypal but the money sender. So it does not look like spam.
Still, it sounds strange...
Beary hugs,
Sophie.
Hi dear friends,
I found an email from htkelly@rockmechanic.com and the content was something from Paypal saying that Hugh Kelly sent me $ 135.
So I went on my Paypal account and checked and that money was indeed on my Paypal account.
I have the full address of that person but I have no clue who that guy is and what he paid me for.
Plus the number of the transaction is not valid.
Before writing to Paypal I have a question to ask you.
Many of you recieve payments from paypal. When you get an email to tell you someone sent you money for a payment, what is the email address of the sender : Paypal adress of your customer's address?
It might just be a mistake... The links inside the mail did not send you to abnormal pages. All looked perfectly normal. I search on internet if it could be a spam. There were spams with similar kind of content but in these cases, there were no money on the Paypal account of the recipient...
I paid for an item today so I fear that if I contact Paypal for this problem they might block my account and then I am not sure the person I paid will then get his money...
Please, help me!
Beary hugs,
Sophie.
I have purchased a few times already at Bearycheap and love their fabrics.
Their mohairs are very good quality as well as their plushes.
They sell Hembold mohair.
They always have some great discounts.
Concerning plushes, I used their poweder purple and powder blue and they are the softest ever. I also bought a few others : Ice pink which is extra soft too, pink cloud, which is great quality for tiny price, and I think the two others I bought are grape and antique white, also ultra soft.
They have a nice backing.
The only negative point about these furs is all the fluff produced when cutting the pieces. But I guess it has nothing to do with quality : it is just linked to these kind of furs.
I am not a big lover of synthetic plushes (I much prefer mohair, just my own taste), but as I make custom bears for children ; these are the ones children love and cannot resist!
Do not forget to visit their clearance center! Lots of bargains there.
I also love Intercals's furs. I purchase at both, depending what I am after and who has got the products!!!!
Beary hugs,
Sophie.
