Inky-Teddy-Talk.jpgI just love this sweet suede pup. She is 16" tall, mainly black suede with felted open/close mouth. She wears the most adorable sunny yellow dress with flowered hoodie. I wanted to give her a toy, as the real Inky gets her toy...s from a toybox, plays and puts them back! So she has a WORKING antique wind-up puppy with a tin nose! Hope her mommy loves her!

santamouse2web.jpgHere comes Santa Squeek, the jolly diminutive Claus sledding downhill to deliver tiny toys to all the little girls and boys. Santa is 4 inches tall and 5 way jointed. His laughing mouth opens and closes with painted tongue and little teeth! His little tail and ears are bendy. This vignette is so detailed! From his hand crocheted hat and Tibetan wool beard to the little lantern on the front of his sled, Santa Squeek is a collectors delight! The amazing upholstered sled is full of toys and slides down a sparkly snowy hill. Even a miniature rocking horse and tricycle sit in back. An incredible collectible!

FatherFrosttt.jpgFor the Teddy Bear Review Christmas issue- Who better to represent Father Frost , the Russian Santa,  than a native to the rugged Russian mountains, the Snow Leopard.  Father Frost is made from the highest quality faux fur and has a needle felted face with open/close mouth.   His painting is meticulous.   Eyes and nose are hand painted polymer.   Father Frost is five way jointed and stands 21" tall ( including hat).  In keeping with the exquisite cat, his chest and tail is accented with Tibetan wool. This magical Santa has crocheted trims, and gloves. Father Frost is  a Russian treasure to be enjoyed all year.

TrevorttjpgThis is Trevor, and he is 14" tall and made of suede.  His mouth opens and closes.  He has a pup, a duck and a bunny in a boat on his vintage shirt.  I made him a bunny and a duck to play with.
At an Artist Market on Saturday a dog tried to attack him.  I have never been so complimented.  LOL.
Trevor is available through my website.
Thanks!

Javatt.jpgWow-  This piece is large for me-  about18 inches tall.   Java is a Javanese tiger-  they became extinct in 1947. My Java has an open/close mouth.  He is decked out in Jade, crystal, and comes with an enameled sword and sheath.  Inside his silk bag are jade fish.
5-way jointed and able to stand as well.

Helenseatedtt.jpgHere is heavy Helen Hippo-  my hippo fairy with open/close mouth.  She is 14" tall and jointed.

esand2tt.jpgesandbox1tt.jpgTHis is my new anime dragon in his own enchanted sandox. Derak's mouth opens and closes to reveal that he has a tooth that has not come in yet!   Horns are dental polymer.  The top of the box has been woodburned , painted and has crystals.  Derak wears little shorts with anime dragons and castles, a "retro" googly dragon tee and comes with a shovel, a pail, and a little sandcastle.  Available through my website for a limited time.

shellylampshirelittlemissbornio.jpgMeet Little Miss Borneo.  She really speaks to my heart.  Not only is she dressed in traditional costume, but she is an extremely endangered pygmy elephant of Borneo.
She is available through my website.

Not just board games.
Think things like Red Rover Red Rover, Tiddliwinks, Jacks, Tag, Playing house, on and on.  You guys are familiar with your inner childern, right?\
I will show you the Hungry Hipp soon, she is almost finished.
Take as much create license as you like.

The 3 I posted are partially done and are just examples.
Another cool idea might be to make a pair that are very diverse. Old and young, light and dark, on and on
Nocturnal animals are appropriate.

By Day and /or night challenge, I mean bears or animals that relate to day or night or themes that are in opposition to each other.
Here are 3 that I will be working on that relate
"Nutty-Night!"-  A squirrel in a  4 poster bed that is entirely done in nuts.
"Sun Bear"-  My sun bear as the Egyptian Sun God Ra
Drowsy the pjed sloth.
You could do a bear that is half day and half night. The ideas are endless.
Don't you keep a book of ideas?  I have 95 so far.
That way I can reference them when a theme or opportunity presents itself. I also bag up materials for future pieces as I find them and put them in order of priority.
The problem is, I just never have enough time.

By Games, I mean board or childrens games, card games, anything like that.  I am making a Hungry Hungry Hippo.
You know, the game where the Hippos have open/close mouths and eat marbles?

Another fun challenge might be games.  I have dibs on Hungry Hungry Hippo.
Let me know what you think

I put my chocolate Moose in the gallery, wondering if it is too late to post my Cinnamon Bun, finished today.  I was late due to power outage that lasted 2 weeks!
Thanks
