CUTE bears!
I'm sure you will be sold out in no time - have fun at the show
(I SO envy you all that you have all these bear shows...we don't have any here in Denmark. Makes me consider immigrating to the US or AU!! )
Hi Shelli,
Thats one hard-to-get-magazine
I Googled the magazine on google.dk and it came up with a couple of Danish companies that might have the magazine (one is called Trendstore - I think there is a good chance of getting it there
)
Its late night in Denmark now but I will contact the companies tomorrow and see if it is possible to either buy single issues or make a subscription to a US-address and how much it will cost. I'll let you know tomorrow
She is a beautiful little dog
She has my vote too. Good luck with the contest
Awwwww.....THATS cute!!
Look at those eyes on the little mother - as if she is saying "I know .... but who cares - its a BABY"
Thanks Tami
I want to go too!! I have never been to a teddy bear show ... and UK is not THAT far away.....
All I have to do now is win the lottery and wait for September!!
What a cutie!
I didn't know baby hippos were that cute but this one really is...(must go to the zoo one of these days!
)
How awful! I really hope they turn up again...what a nightmare to loose your beloved furry friends!
Hopefully, they are in quarantine - but don't customs let you know if they detain goods?
Does it come with an instruction on how to attach it to the bears head?? Sorry, if its a stupid question - but I can't see how its attached/how it works?
Very cute bear
He has an adorable face - and I love his BIG feet
I have spent a lot of time trying to find good places to buy synthetic fur and I found a couple of companies that sell good quality synthetic fur. I buy from a UK-company http://www.fauxthrow.com/ (They also have faux suede) - but a US-company would probably be less expensive with regard to shipping costs:
http://www.imstuffedfur.com/
You can order free swatches from both companies. I have ordered from both companies and the fur is great quality (looks and feels exactly like real fur) and the ones I bought doesn't have any stretch. I always use iron-on stabilizer on the back just to be on the safe side but I don't think its necessary with this fur.
I haven't ordered from this company but they sell Tissavel fur (so does faux throw by the way..): http://www.prefurs.com/ (Tissavel is rather expensive)
Does 1/4 Swedish count? I just joined, thanks Jennie.
Probaer in Germany (the site is in English too) has something that is 23 mm long pile, tipped and in different colors (including pink): http://www.probear.com/com/shop/pi-1535 … tegoryId=3
Wow...I just found out they have mohair with up to 85 mm pile! I would love to see that....
Thats illegal in Denmark! You are not allowed to buy domain names here using a name that "belongs" to another person (as a business name) or company, not even if you misspell the name. An example: Last summer DK got a new political party, Ny Alliance (New Alliance). Of course they bought the domain name nyalliance.dk - and someone outside the party bought the name nyaliance.dk (one "L" missing). Thats illegal! Unless you can prove that you have some sort of association with the party, you are not allowed to buy - and sell - that name, not even as com, .net etc. You don't even have to be a registered or copyrighted name to be able to protect your business name....nice Act, I think! Its rather new but we have had lots of scams too which is the reason why this act was passed I think about a month ago or so.
Its nice to know that at least some acts work here....our laws on animal protection as an example sucks!...but thats a different story...
Amazing that you are able to do an open mouth and so many details on such a small bear Beautiful!
He looks so soft and cuddly (beautiful colour too) - I'm sure he will be the little boy's very special friend
He is amazing! Wow! No wonder he was so time consuming but he is truly a piece of art
She is a very cute little prima ballerina I would love to see more ballet-bears (love girlie-bears....
)
Being a Bichon-owner myself I would have to say that your bear has a wonderful soulful expression that is very similar to the "pick me up, I'm cuuuuuute"-eyes of a Bichon!
Both bears are beautiful, I'm sure your collector(s) will love them

Its a Danish news site but when you click the link, it opens a video with the little polar bear cub that Maria (Puca Bears) posted info on yesterday.
He is soooooo cute!!
Makes you want to pick him up and take him home!
Remember to put your speakers on - he makes the cutest little baby-cub-grunting Almost at the end of the video, he wakes up and starts screaming - and when he did, my 4 dogs all came running totally confused about the screaming and trying to find the little one that was crying
Hi,
Welcome to TT
I remember seeing that question before so I found it in the TT-library http://teddy-talk.com/viewtopic.php?id=13853
As you can see from the previous discussion, some uses a software program (Corel Draw it seems) and others do freehand-drawings. As far as I know, Corel Draw is not a software specifically made for teddy bear patterns but a general drawing software and apparantly it can be used for making patterns.
I don't know Corel Draw but most software can be downloaded as a trial version for a short period of time so that you can try it out before buying it.
What a cute bear - well done!
How tall is he? He looks small?
I agree with Pat, I just love seeing my bears develop a personality as I make the face.
As far as I know, rugbroed (pronounced with "Dutch" R's...as if you are choking....sorry, Ellen  ) is very Danish. I haven't seen it anywhere else and I think you have to be born in this country to like it School children get rugbroed in their lunchboxes with either cheese, lever pate (another thing we Danes love), ham etc. on top.
An all time favourite for Danes is rugbroed with heering and raw onion rings (anyone feeling sick now?? )
Rugbroed is very high on fibers and usually always made with some kind of seed, like sunflower seeds, pumpkin seeds etc.
Germans have something similar, Schwartzbrot - but its not quite the same. Schwartzbrot (translation: Black Bread) is darker and more bitter than rugbroed. Hmmm....if we have a national dish here in Denmark, rugbroed would be one...and frikadeller (fried meat balls) would be another one. Rugbroed and frikadeller are yummi together by the way....
The last pic is a local speciality from Bornholm (the most beautiful small island) with rugbrød, smoked heering & raw egg (we DO cook our food sometimes! ). The dish is called Sol over Gudhjem (Sun over Gudhjem. Gudhjem is a town on Bornholm)
Oh, what a princess!! She is beautiful - I'll say the same as the other ladies: Enjoy every minute! They grow up so fast you can't believe it (mine is almost 10 ...and it seems like yesterday she was just a little bundle of sweet-smelling baby).
Thanks for sharing :photo:
Congratulations on your new family member  He looks so sweet - cockers are the sweetest with their silky soft fur and wonderful eyes that can melt anyone
... and I just love to hear stories of people offering a dog a new home
Charlie looks so relaxed - I'm sure he already knows where he belongs.
