ohhhhhh SO Cute! Thanks so much for sharing

As far as I am aware Steiff use Schulte Mohair, considered to be the highest quality mohair on the market. There are many different types of mohair within the same manufacturer, from sparser varieties to kid mohair (this is the richest, softest, most dense variety). I hope this helps a bit. I'm sure some others may have ideas too.

Wishing you all a Beary Happy New Year  I'm wanting to knit a nice little sleeveless jacket/cardigan for a 15" Bear. I've found quite a few cute ones designed for babies, but I'm not sure on sizing. Do you know what age baby pattern would be suitable for a 15" size Bear? Would it need to be a preemie size or would a 1 year old pattern be too big? Thanks for any ideas,

I really understand how you are feeling. I sadly sent a Bear back mid November (before all the snow chaos) signed for priority from Belgium to UK and he has not turned up. He has a tracking number but the last time it was scanned in was on Nov 17th at the Heathrow postal depot
I am having to make a whole new Bear to replace, which of course puts me out of pocket majorly, but I felt so bad for my customer. I also have a few parcels I sent at the beginning of December to the States and they have not turned up yet either, it's all so much chaos and I hate customers to feel disappointed too. I hope your Bears will turn up soon Clare xx
oh I love him, his profile is just gorgeous
aww she is so magically beautiful
Thanks Pauline, still no sign of him, it is really hard

I really am losing hope, I just keep getting the same answer and now the whole of England is coming to a stand still with snow so that is making the post even more of a chaos. I hate to let down his new Mum that was so looking forward to having him. He must be out there somewhere  Please all send out your positive vibes!

I am so sad for you, as you know I am in the same position with a Bear I sent to England, I too had got very attached to him and did not want to let him go, but I knew how much his new mum had fallen for him. I can't understand how these tracking numbers do nothing to help when they go missing.. I do hope you can find your little guy.

Thanks for the reassurance. I have spent hours going through all the automated sections of Royal Mail until I get to speak to a human being, they said he is at Heathrow Worldwide Distribution Centre, so I presume he has left customs (even though within Europe that shouldn't be an issue). I called Customs and they can not tell me if a parcel is there or not and said it shouldn't be anyway... They are so keen to just say it's lost and make a claim! I will not give up and will bug Royal Mail constantly until I get better information! Funnily enough I got hold of Royal Mail through Twitter as well and got more assistance from them BUT still the same answer! Please keep your fingers and toes crossed for Harry!

I'm so worried that one of my Bears, Harry, has got lost in the post going from Belgium to the UK, so within Europe. I sent him registered with a tracking number on 12th Nov and he got to the Heathrow Worldwide Distribution Centre on 17th Nov and no more information
I have never had a Bear lost so it's so worrying. I have been spending hours trying to talk to Royal Mail to get any help, customs (no problems there as it's within Europe)...with no luck. They just talk about making claims, but I just want to find my Bear and for him to arrive with his new owner safely! Has anyone had this problem with their Bears coming into England? Any suggestions of anything else I can do to find him? Thank you so much for any advice, I'm in rather a pickle! Hugs, Catherine x
Thanks Peter

Willow is a gentle hearted, one of a kind, 17" Bumpkin Bear. His gorgeously soft Schulte mohair is a very special colour which reminded me of Willow tree buds with their soft brown fawny colour with silvery tones. He loves woodland walks and warm cuddles with a good story book. He is available for adoption from my website -
