Teddy Talk: Creating, Collecting, Connecting

Ha ha ha ha ha ha....love the lady reading the book.  I wouldn't be reading a book but I would be sitting in my wheel chair and you would have to come to me if you wanted something.  Fairs are just too hard for me so...I give up!

Sometimes I glue a piece of felt the size I want the nose to be then if I want a vertical nose the first layer I put on is hoirzontal then the virtical.

Where are all those Braille Teddies?  I got very ill and have not been able to finish mine.  Before long it will be all Braille teddies for me...

Yep, I like to stuff very well around the joint so I can't stuff them all the way before they are joined!

I never weight bears for children...much too dangerous.  I also use safety eyes and joints!

I've been making soft toys since 1957.  Just in the last several years I have focused it down on traditional teddies...my favorite.  Although my last bear, Miss Lily Bearbottom was far from traditional. I have made hundreds of soft sculpture dolls...sold in shops in the west. This year I have slowed down a lot because of health.  Hope I can get back in the grove!!!

Do you think it will look OK for me to do the inside of the arms and legs and belly in a lighter color?  I was considering a traditional brown and blond or a blue and baby blue...

Oh no, the pattern is fine I just wondered what others have done with it.  I am thinking about making the inside a light color and the outside a darker of the same color????  Inside like inside the arms and legs and the tummy...
