I have had some fun with this one -I love dying mohair in beautiful colours . Picasso is made from a mixture of bright colours in a long German mohair.He has a porcelain face with beautiful blue dolls eyes set in. I have made his nose very colourful to match his body and is glittery and shiny.He also has three little porcelain teeth set into his open mouth.

Picasso is made from my new long body pattern and measures 16".He is cotterpin jointed and weighted with a bag of encased sand and a heavy filling.His paw pads are cashmere.

Wonderful and such a beautiful colour.

This is Tootsie -do you think the name suits her? She has a hand crafted porcelain face with set in beautiful melting brown dolls eyes.I am very pleased with the way the colours have fired -they have a nice softness to them.

Tootsie has large felt needle sculpted feet and toes. I have hand dyed the ends of her arms and legs with a graduated fawn deepening to brown.Her fur is a long German kid mohair.She wears her name on a hand made porcelain disc around her neck. She is 14" tall and she is on bearpile.

Charlie is my latest bear from my old loved series.
I have made him from a wonderful old looking scruffy mohair .
Charlie has boot button type eyes and I have embroidered his nose sparingly for a well kissed look.He has wool felt paw pads that I have shaded and darned .He is cotter pin jointed and stuffed with a heavy weight filling.
I have aged Charlie's sailor suit which is made from cotton,linen and flannel with old buttons.He measures approx. 14"

Thought I would show you a commission that I have just finished -He is a porcelain faced bear with set in blue dolls eyes and a gorgeous wavy mohair body,
He will be off to the states after Christmas -hope he find it warmer there than it is here Brrrrrrr!!!!
I hope his new mum will be pleased with him.

Sailor Sam is one of my old loved series -he is made from a new smaller size pattern.
Sam is made from a short dark gold German mohair that I have aged -he has lots of darns and shaving to create his old loved look.Sam has English glass buzzard eyes and a sparse embroidered nose for a well kissed look!
He has a newly designed sailor suit that I have also extensively aged.It is made from cotton and linen with old buttons. He measures 15"
On bearpile now.
Hope he gives you a nice warm summer feeling as we need it in England as it is snowing very hard here!

If you like gollies you might like this one as he is very different with his porcelain face.Hand crafted porcelain with fired painted details.
Sammy has a mop of long black mohair hair.His fully jointed body is made from German mohair  and his hands and feet are cashmere. He wears a leather belt - white cotton collar and a  checked bow.
He looks great sitting with bears and dolls.Weighted with encased sand and shot.He is 14" tall.
The last picture shows him sitting with his girl friend Cristabell.

I have made a new smaller size pattern for my series of Old Loved Bears.
Dobby is an old clown or could be a Christmas bear as he is festive in his colouring.
I have made him from a felted mohair in a brown with a lighter backing that lends beautifully to the aged look.I have given him darns and used my own special ageing technique to give him the old played with loved look.His nose is embroidered sparsely for a well kissed look and I have given him antique boot button eyes with small underfelting.
Dobby wears a cotton play suit that also has been aged -old buttons and rusty bells.
He is cotterpin jointed and weighted with a heavy filling.
I have sat him next to my old loved doll in the last picture
