In another teddy-Forum, we sometimes work on the same topic, 2 years ago it was "theatre".  I wrote a litte story about my stuffed toys playing theatre, and now tried to translate it inro English. I hope you like it  bear_grin

It has some drawbacks if you keep your stuffed toys in the bookshelf.
Since they are unattended at home all day, they soon discovered that books are good against being bored.
So now, when I come home in the evening, I find my reading chair already occupied...

Since they found my classics, they sometimes surprise me with small but interesting improvisations:

"True ; I must do it with an eye-needle ..."
[Gotthold Ephraim Lessing, Emilia Galotti]

In the original text it would be a hairpin, but there's no hairpin in my home.
They must be inventive concerning props;whatever they find, they will use for the play - a fork will be a devil's pike, and the other stuffed toys have to play the extras.

"This was the poodle's essence then! "
[Johann Wolfgang von Goethe, Faust I]

They avoid love scenes, they'd feel silly. But if they want to play a love scene, they choose a funny one

"And kiss thy fair large ears, my gentle joy."
[William Shakespeare, A Midsommer's night dream]

They love Shakespeare. Even WIPs join in the play

"To be or not to be, that's the question."
[William Shakespeare, Hamlet]

But their favorite play is the "scottish play", maybe because I love Scotland.

"I look'd toward Birnam, and anon, methought,The wood began to move."
[William Shakespeare, Macbeth]

To play the witch scenes, they even ransacked my kitchen

"Double, double toil and trouble; Fire burn, and cauldron bubble."
[William Shakespeare, Macbeth]

Hey, what are you doing with my cooking pot???

"A deed without a name."
[William Shakespeare, Macbeth]

What to say?
The rest is silence.
