Absolutely wonderful -so creative.
This is Veronica -she is one of my old loved shabby chick bears -Veronica is made from a short dense alpaca that is dark brown with silver and black guard hairs.I have given Veronica antique boot button eyes with felt underlays and have embroidered her nose with cotton pearl.She has been aged and stuffed loosely to feel old and well cuddled -she has a bag of sand in her tummy for a nice heavy feel.
Veronica is wearing a pure silk gold dress that has an antique overlay of an embroidered tulle.The dress also has frills of vintage lace -it is very pretty and goes beautifully with her dark brown fur!She has old looking velvet flowers on her head.

Tallulah is one of my old loved shabby chick bears. I have painted her a portrait with water colour pencils.
I just love the old loved bears look and have created another in my series .

I do have my own kiln and sculpt from clay and make my own molds from plaster -then fire the cast in porcelain -great fun but messy -do it in my kitchen -kiln in the garage.

Hercule is one of my clown series ! He has a hand crafted porcelain face with fired in detailed art work.Hercule has set in gray dolls eyes and a real fired gold nose.He is approx. 16" including his hat.
Hercule is made from two sorts of German mohair -long white curly locks for his head -feet and hands and a black curly mohair that has a gold thread running through it.
Hercule has cashmere paw pads that also have a twinkle to them.
He wear two ruffles around his neck - one is decorated with stars and he has gold pom pom decorating his hat and tummy.

Has anyone any tips on aging mohair -I want to achieve the old matted look?
My latest little porcelain faced bear with set in dolls eyes -she is 10" and made from alpaca.
She is on bearpile looking for a new mummy.

Katrina is made from a wonderful shabby old looking Hembold mohair -she has antique boot button eyes and I've embroidered her nose sparingly for a well kissed look. Loosely jointed for a floppy feel.
Katrina is wearing an exquisite vintage handmade crochet dress -really really beautifully made!
Katrina is my bear -I had to make another to sell -so she has a twin -not the same clothing though!
