Hubby's Italian, his family always does a fish fry Christmas eve. I think it's an Italian tradition.
I'll have to dig up old Christmas cards from the storage boxes (I know they're there). So cute.
We're having my parents and daughter (and maybe her boyfriend if they get back together ?#%%) for Christmas day and I 'm fixing a brunch. Probably a quiche. I might make an apple/cranberry casserole too. Egg nog and we can add some rum when it's past noon (that's acceptable?). Maybe some ramos gin fizzes. Yum. I might even get my dad to make his famous potato pancakes.
How cute is that ! ! ! It looks like a little slipper from the side.
I thought it would be difficult after Dave retired, but I was actually enjoying it. Now I have to get used to being by myself all day again, which I don't mind at all, really.
Now it's "would you iron my shirts" again. Ugh
Tammy, I'm lovin' your teddy bear ornament Christmas tree. Thanks for doing that.
I'm on hubby's computer which is a little slower than mine. That's the problem I think. Hubby retired in May after working at the same place 35 years. He started a new job yesterday consulting 3 days a week. I was just getting used to him being home every day.
OK Tammy. I could use a quick project. Something to actually finishe in between all the unfinished projects.
Too bad we couldn't get a chat room going for this. I'm having a hard time keeping up.
Jodi, you inspired me, I just vacuumed my living room. Next, Aleta reminded me, I need to switch over the laundry then stir my spaghetti sauce.
I know this will sound wierd, but has anyone ever seen Christopher Walken dance? He's quite a good dancer. I saw a video of him dancing in a movie. Can't remember what movie.
Amelia, do you have a cookie press? Quick and easy and turn out very cute.
Oh, I envy you all with your kids still at home. So much fun. I miss that. My girls are grown and out of the house. No grandkids yet. We'll be going to visit our oldest and her husband in Nashville (5 hour plane ride) on January 4th. We'll have Christmas there. I haven't done any Christmas shopping. I'll do it when we get to Nashville. Our younger daughter (22) will come with us.
I can't wait for grandkids. boo hoo. I'm really feeling sorry for myself today.
HI Ellen, Merry Christmas. You're making a bear for you hubby's motorcycle??? Will it go on motorcycle rides with him?
Jodi, didn't you get this???????

Looks yummmmmmmmmmy, Tammy. I'll have a peanut butter cookie, please.

Aleta, do you have your own plane?
My mom just sent this to me:

We haven't done our lights yet. I keep pestering hubby about it.
Hi Tammy. Cookies, yum. That reminded me about my spaghetti sauce on the stove. I caught it just in time. Needed a stir.
Aleta, how was the concert? My aunt and uncle who live in Sparks (near Reno) went to it also.
Aleta, I don't remember that shop but I'll check it out tomorrow. There are so many great shops there and restaurants too. Isn't Nevada City great? I just love it. Grass Valley has a great little historic downtown too. I live 15 minutes from there.
Are you doing the April show there?
Ugg slippers are soft suede (I'm guessing sheep) with the warmest soft fleece inside. They have rubber soles so you can go outside. They have boot type that go up to mid calf and slipper type. Very toasty warm.
I would love to have a new Bose stereo that plays 5 or 6 cds. I haven't asked for it yet though.
Patsy, you lucky duck to have a true love giving you fat quarters.
We're going to Nevada City tomorrow night for their Victorian Christmas in the streets. My daugter slipped up and told me my hubby is going to buy me a pair of Ugg slippers when we're there. There is a shop there that sells them. Other than that, our Nashville trip is sort of our present to eachother.
Have a wonderful Christmas, Penny.
