You can't have a featured listing but they still charged you $50...ummmm...I'd be demanding a refund!!!  That is a scam if I've ever seen one.  Ebay is becoming such a dirty little place to do business anymore...not necessarily the sellers (although some are) but the company itself.  I have feedback of over 200 and it use to be so easy and comfortable.  Not anymore.

GRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR!!!

I don't think there is much more to say...

WE LOVE YOU JANE!!!  I love being a part of your photo shoots and parties.  I think you just need to brush this under the rug or even better out the door and forget about it.

Oodles of hugs,
Shantell

I just love them at this stage...all curious and wobbly.   bear_wub   bear_wub

Leann...I wasn't serious about just "finding" them.  They were born nice and safe under an old garden umbrella in tucked into a nook in my front flower bed.   Their mommy, Skippy, was literally beating on my back sliding glass door with her front paw demanding to be fed her breakfast so I skipped out the front door and took photos of my little troop sleeping under the hosta plants.

SueAnn...nope Skippy doesn't understand the concept of planned parenthood and she doesn't realize that the traps are for her own good.  She just looks at them and skips off.  We have caught the other cats...SEVERAL times...they aren't too smart...I think Skippy just laughs at them.  I look at every day as an opportunity to CATCH SKIPPY.   She does have pretty darn cute babies though.  I've consulted with my vet so when I catch her she just goes in without an appointment...JUST GOES.

Brenda...they are not afraid of me.  They've heard my voice too much.      I've been peeking in on them as much as  possible and giving them little pets so they are familiar with my scent as well.  The past few days since they've become mobile I've handled them every day so they are now just really curious about everything includng ME.  This morning they were trying to nibble on my toes.  So cute.

Hugs,

It's heartstopping isn't it?  I can't even begin to imagine what it must be like.  My heart is heavy for all those who lost someone or something.

I found a few cute little "punkins."

punkins08.jpg

One little punkin went scurrying away to his little nest when I pulled back the leaves...but he was too curious to see what was going on and soon returned.

Cute cute cute...I just luv 'em.  Did you know that kittens whose eyes open first tend to have longer fur?  So far with Skippy's mass production      it has been true each time.  My friend, Vickie, confirmed that with me after I read it somewhere online.  Vickie is a wonderful vet in my local area...her son & my son are best friends (which isn't how I met her).  I ramble...not enough coffee yet.  bear_whistle   bear_whistle

Keep sending those kitty pictures.  I never tire of them.

shantell

Pictures...I posted a picture of them on my blog www.appledumplingbears.blogspot.com.  Scroll down just a bit...you can't miss them. bear_wub   I be posting more photos...hopefully I'll get a chance to take some more today as they are 10 days old now.

shantell

Oooh I love baby kitties.  I have kittens right now too.  They are a week old...SEVEN of them.   I just love watching them grow and develop little personalities of their own.  It's so hard to let them go.

Enjoy them...8-12 weeks goes by way to fast.

shantell

I know this is the Showcase section but for the sake of not overkilling it by relisting them in the "TB & Other Friends (For Sale) section too...I've now listed them in my Apple Dumpling Etsy Shop...  www.AppleDumplingBears.etsy.com.  You can also find pictures and the link on my blog.

Enjoy!!!

Thank you ladies...I'm really having fun making these.  I'm now working on making my pattern smaller.  These girls are between 12 - 14 inches tall not counting their hair.  I want to go down to about 10 inches.   They can also sit alone with a bit of encouragment.   I should weight their butts....hmmmm...would that give them body image issues though?      We don't need Annie's with eating disorders to we?

Oh my I haven't had enough coffee this morning.........

Awwww...you guys are so sweet....thank you for the lovely comments.  I really didn't think about it when I posted the photo of my cute boyfriend.   bear_tongue   I think he's pretty handsome myself but then something would be wrong with me if I didn't since I am his mom afterall.  LOL

And, Shelli....you're a hoot!!!

shantell

Just for you Daphne, I dug around and finally found that photo you requested.  Thank goodness he's sort of over the big hair thing, although I keep hearing talk of dreadlocks after football.  Send prayers my way he changes him mind.

Well...he's grown up!!!

Edited to add the BEFORE photo per Daphne's request.

For those of you who wonder what the heck I'm talking about...in the early days of TT, we posted pictures of ourselves and the picture I posted included my then 14 year old son Taylor...who also had BIG hair.  Everyone thought he was my "boyfriend" until they read the text.  LOL   He's now 17-1/2.  This picture was taken yesterday as he was headed out to football camp for 3 days thus the junk food he's carrying.

First..

Here's a link to the topic that Melanie is talking about regarding Jenny.  I hope it's what you need to resolve your issue.  If not, hopefully someone will pop in here soon and be of some help because it isn't me.   bear_flower   I'm a website, computer idiot.

OMG...that just makes me cringe.  I think I feel sick just thinking about how much that hurt.   bear_cry  bear_cry  OWEEE!!!   I would not have been brave enough to have pulled that out by myself...nope...could not have done it.  I'm a big WIMP...someone else would have had to do it.

shantell

I'll be see'n ya on your blog, Lisa.  I get my daily dose of giggles there...well almost daily.  Sometimes a girl just has to do what feels right...hopefully, someday you'll get the itch to play in mohair again and a little bear with be calling out to you.

Best of wishes!!!

shantell

Hmpf!!!!  bear_cry   bear_cry   I'm pouting!!!

Actually, I've been too busy spending my money on other things...like new clothes.   bear_tongue  I would LOVE to buy one but I need to wait just a bit longer.  I WILL get one or TWO...Clare you brat!!!

shantell

Clare,

I have several quilting friends and they ALL have featherweights and love them.  Actually, they all have MORE than one.    My friend, Janice, has THREE...in each color they came in...and she named them.  LOL

I've wanted a featherweight for YEARS and just haven't purchased one yet.  I'll be purchasing from the gentleman Chrissi refers to.  He was very helpful with the questions I initially had for him...unless I find some steal right in my backyard.   I'm not sure what I'm waiting on...maybe it's just taking the plunge.

As far as the difference between the 221 and 222, Kelly is correct.  The 222 is a freearm and quite a bit more expensive because of it's rarity.  I want BOTH....and WILL HAVE BOTH...that's my goal...along with a cottage at the beach).

I just love these old vintage machines.  My mother has my great-grandmothers singer treadle machine with ALL the parts including the instruction book & oil can.   I remember playing with it as a child at my grandmothers...in fact I learned to sew on it...but before that I use to play with the treadle and pretend I was driving the car.  LOL  As far as I know it still works but just needs some cleaning and adjusting.  My mom doesn't (and can't) sew and since I'm an only child someday it will be MINE MINE MINE (evil laughter erupts).

Hugs,
Shantell

P.S  OT...How's that darling baby boy of yours?  You know, new photos are due soon.

shantell

Fantastic news!!!   bear_thumb   bear_thumb

These picture are just glorious.  Such a wonderful bit of ol' Momma Nature to experience.  Have you considered contacting your local wildife society or whomever to see if they are interested in gathering the eggs or watching for the wee ones to hatch.  Just a thought so they can get a little boost in life.  Do you happen to know what kind of turtle she is...she does look old and wise, doesn't she.  I wonder how old she is.

And speaking from a mother's perspective, maybe she decided it was TIME...that was why she chose that spot.  When those babies decided to come they just come.  Now I've never delivered eggs but I have wondered from time to time if one or more of my children haven't been swapped with pod-children.

shantell

Thanks everyone!!!   Clothes...grrr...they make my head spin too.  It a bit of trial and error.  Perhaps a sarong would work?  Just tie it on and go!!!   It is almost summer afterall.  LOL

shantell

PrototypeAnnie.jpgI guess a couple of us might have a bit of Annie fever.  I've also been playing in the Annie/cloth doll playground too.  I've written about my adventures on my blog and just posted my own first design.  You can take a peek if you'd like.

Hugs,
Shantell
