Awww Edie, he has such an endearing face...
great 'loved' bear; he has such a sweet face
Another lovely baby! Such pretty colors...
Awwwwww he is adorable, Susan! You little mink babies are always so darned cute, though....
Hmm, I have never tried doing a front/back leg pattern... I can only imagine that the foot would have to be a separate piece, kinda like you see on lambskin boots or [SPAM]...? I don't know if that helps at all, though! As for the seam and the joint - I have a technique book that details cutting a slit where the joint is going to be placed, and inserting that way, then stitching it back up with a ladder stitch... strange (to me) but I guess it can be done!
Wow, he is wonderful, Mindy! Such a handsome bear...
Aww, Kay, so cute! Have a safe holiday!!
I LOVE your little bunnies, Pauline they have the sweetest faces...

Thank you so much, ladies, for taking the time to comment on him!
Hello everyone! It's been really busy here with the kids and summer vacation, but I've managed to get another bear cub finished!
His name is Wasabe (Native American for 'black bear') and he's listed on eBay for 3 days - his auction ends Tuesday evening. He's been created from my new 'sitter bear cub' pattern, and his fur is lovely, dense imported synthetic dark espresso brown. He is fully jointed and armatured, soft (thread or needle) sculpted, and hand shaded. He also has handpainted glass eyes and an epoxy clay sculpted nose. If you have the time, I'd love it if you can take a little peek at him! :)

big hugs!
LOL he is awesome, Krista. He totally embodies every feature that stands out to me with Chihuahuas.... I am loving his bulgy grouchy eyes, even if I personally couldn't sleep with him staring at me all night... GREAT job on this little muchacho....
I soft sculpt before I attach the head... maybe try stuffing a bit more firmly at the back of the head?

Just maybe so, Debora! I know this guy had to stick around my place for a bit. His spot on the shelf will be so bare once he's left...
I am so thankful for all the compliments you all have given me on Theodore... they are wonderful!
