Thanks so much for your comments on Maxwell, I think he is a cuddly one too Peter..
Maxwell, created using Schulte tipped mohair
Measuring 6"-15cm
Wearing handknitted overalls and cap.
I started buying from craft shops in my town, but now I buy from wholesale places for as a bear artist you will pay the same as the shops and not the extra buying from the shops with their whatever % markup...plus you can buy as little as 1/8, most retail shops will only sell you a fat 1/4.....
There are many wholesale places on the internet from many different countries..e-bay is a good source too
Thankyou Linda and Carol..
Adorable...
Thanks so much everyone, your comments are greatly appreciated..
Theodore measures 7"-18cm.
Created from Schulte Wavy Mohair.
His gingham outfit was handstitched and he wears a teddy charm on the brim of his hat.
Appearing on my website.
Thanks so much everyone....she sort of reminded me of Harpo Marx...he was the one with the blonde curly hair and a squeezy noisy thingo....don't know what it was called...
Penny is one spoilt little pooch but we wouldn't have it any other way...sleeps with us every night.....under the covers of course.
Penny is a Maltese/Toy poodle....Our previous dog was a Maltese/Spitz and so was quite a bit larger ...she went to heaven at the age of 18 years. Her name was Tuppence. So Penny being a lot smaller than her, we went for another "currency" name..
Harpo is a 7'-18 cm little bear, wearing co-ordinating overalls and cap.
She has stitched claws and armitage arms for posing..
She is now available for purchase from my website.
Thanks Denise..
Katy, just love the way you said that, I can hear your accent from here..love it..
Thanks everyone...no this one is securely locked away in the crystal cabinet.....Penny cannot get to it..
Yes, I can never get angry with her, the bear was destined for a new head as I wasn't happy with the way it was progressing so Penny helped me with the decision..
As for wanting a bear too, she has quite a few lying around the house that she roughs up. But as she is such a tiny dog she doesn't wreck them...and they are manufactured bears not handmade...
Lesson learned in putting things out of reach.
No damage thankfully.
Does Penny look guilty or not?
Have just listed Bisley on e-bay for a 7 day listing.
Love ya to check him out.
Thanks Denise..
Love this bear...especially his feet. You have inspired me to have a go at claws....will search them out to buy..where did you get yours?
wow, that is a tiny one...devine little bear...
Lola is a little beauty...love the eyes too..
Hi Karen, Puddin is a sweetheart.
I too am trying to develope the open mouth design into some of my bears.....its fiddly but fun to do
Hello Lena, such a long time since we have spoken...love Razza
Thankyou for your comments..
Thanks everyone......Have only done open mouthed bears a couple of times, might try it with a slightly larger bear...
All your comments are greatly appreciated..
Haven't made a little bear for awhile but here he is ...Liam, a new open mouth design.
He measures 3"-8cm not including his hat.
He sits in a porcelain flower basket, Liam is now available for purchase from my website.
Thanks, Denise.
Ted Menton for me....his explanations are so easy to follow....and then comes Nancy Tillberg....that was way back in the beginning, but now as well as those two people, I get a lot of inspriation from you girls and the bears and critters you post on here......I wish I could comment on everyone.....
Lovely fur, gorgous bear as usual....
