I love foxes. Apparently there's a guy in Russia who's working (quite successfully) to domesticate them. I'd love to have one, just so I could pet it all the time.
The very early bears' feet were very "stumpy," with no projecting "toe" area. The later ones were shaped more like regular teddies' feet. Also, the early bears' boots were just regular Dunlop brand wellingtons in a small size, and the later ones were made specifically for the bears and only marked "P.B."
Here's a good site for info: http://www.thepaddingtoncollective.com/ … le-designs
He's the largest size- 48" from front to back foot. His buddy is 40" lying flat, so they're pretty well matched. I did get one hug in, as I was unpacking him and checking him for damage, before he was spirited away upstairs for wrapping. He's surprisingly floppy, with slightly coarse, short-ish fur. Absolutely gorgeous, especially the face.
These are great!
These are so fun!
I got a surprise bear this year! My first Ditz bear hug (grizzly).
He and his Christmas comrade won't even fit under the tree, since we put up mini trees this year. Lol!
I hope his fur is soft. He's made by "Carousel by Guy." Anybody have one of the smaller versions (or even this version)?
WOW! I've never seen either of those before! They're amazing!
I've just picked out my Christmas bear for this year, and I think I've made a fine choice:
A whopping 31" seated, and very snuggly looking! I don't know if I'll be able to wait for Christmas.
I love this guy! He reminds me of one of my favorite childhood stuffed animals:
Wait. Cute?!
It is gorgeous, though! I still remember the verse I had to write in imitation of Poe's The Raven in high school. I was so proud!
I really like Jerry.
I'm going to be making one of these:
out of one of these fluffy blankets (in brown):

and I'm planning on lining the pieces with something to prevent them from stretching. What would you recommend, that wouldn't be too thick or stiff? Muslin? Quilting cotton?
SOMEbody's going to be fluffy when s/he grows up!
I LOVE it! It makes me want a really fat, realistic-looking bear.
Awww, what a cutie. I've seen a lot of bears that I was surprised to find were made in Korea.
Look at that thick fur!
These are hilarious! I did have one cat (a tortoiseshell) who had perfected "the sneer." But she was the only one of my cats who routinely looked disgruntled.
Awww! Poor little guy! That curiosity sure got the better of him there.
She's adorable! That fur looks SO nice! i love her eyes and her little cheeks.

All different kinds of styles, all different kinds of animals, lots of different varieties and sizes. Even dolls! Obviously, the text is in Russian, but the pieces are labeled with letters at the corners, to show where to connect them, so they should be pretty easy to figure out. From what I've seen, members contribute free patterns from all over the internet. It's amazing!
