Teddy Talk: Creating, Collecting, Connecting

Hi ladies,

I must admit I didn't realise she'd be "worth" something one day - d'uh 
Now I'm not sure whether to give her a name , and some love and out-of-the-box-time , or pack her away again !!!!

(They were on a special half price offer when I bought her - and one for my niece - and I kept her because...... well, ask a mother of 3 sons !!!    :crackup: )

I've got one of those    She was bought in 1994 ish , and has honestly never been out of the outer box until
this photo was taken !!! Poor thing was stored under my son's bed for years - but now she's come out
I've fallen in love with her all over again !!  :lol:

What a gorgeous little baby!  I have a parti coloured little girl who is a teeny one ; she is called Delphi .
I think your new little chap looks like a "Buster" - or if he's a little quiet in temperament a "Beau". You're guaranteed to wonder how you ever got on
without him after the first 10 minutes .... and so will your beautiful little Lily

How wonderful! Cyndee you've totally warmed my heart - you must have such a special bond with Herbie , and he must be a very special
(and discerning) dog too! Although it's an unusual idea to start with I think it's great ..... bears can't help but inspire love and devotion in everyone!
My own 2 little dogs never chew at anything either 

Back to the question; I often check that my bears look "happy" - and if I think they don't I immediately have to pick them up , stroke them,
hug them and re-arrange them so they are "smiling" again. I've done that ever since I was a little girl    I used to agonise over which ones to take away
on holiday - then I would re-group those left so they would be comforted by each other and not sad I left them !!
I always affectionately stroke my miniatures' fur too , and re-pose them

With lots of recent talk about traditional bears I rushed back to my "cashmere" upholstery velvet to perfect
an ultra-traditional pattern - the result being Pascal , who is just under 3" tall. I'm really pleased with how he turned out, so I thought I'd share
