I agree with you that Charlie Bears should be placed under the manufactured section. 

As a collector and part-time bear maker    I appreciate the work, time and talent that goes into an artist bear and I have the good fortune to have quite a few in my hug (including a lovely one by Karon).  However, I also find that there is room for the odd Charlie Bear (isabelle collection) or two in my hug.    They may be mass produced but their faces appeal to me.  I can't help which bear I fall in love with and I purchase regardless of his/her pedigree.   I have a few that only cost £10 from the local card shop but they are still cared for the same way as my artist bears, hugged, groomed and well basically loved.   Have you ever examined a Charlie Bear before in the fur?   

We can't all like the same thing - I personally don't like Steiff bears but please don't shoot me

I've been going around today with a stupid smile on my face that the Cheshire Cat would be proud of.  The reason for this? ............. is that this morning I recieved my swap bear from Sue.   :dance:   I am now the proud and loving owner of the most gorgeous polar bear named Nanok.  I will (hopefully) add Sue's photo below of my lovely boy

Sorry Us Bears I can't help you.  I was just going to do a search on Garfield cuddlies for my youngest.  Yesterday on television we had Garfield Day, yep back-to-back short programmes of Garfield and my daughter just fell in love with the characters and as its her birthday soon, I thought I could slip the odd one or two cuddlies in (after all birthdays aren't the same without a furry friend)

Its half term week for my swap partner Sue and myself, so we are both looking forward to some 'bear' time.  Sue's ahead of me at the moment and she is also making other bears for the Stratford fair ............ busy lady!!!!!

I was wondering about this too Karon (after a particularly bad experience with fimo and my oven  ) so on Sue's advice, I brought some Milliput (from ebay).  Hope to have a play sometime soon!
