Macs rock!!! What they cost more in buying they save in headache and support needs. You should still switch the firewall on and be careful with what you open in an email or on the internet, because theoretically, Macs can get virus and they can be hacked, but it is extremely rare, because its no fun for the hackers as long as there are few Macs around (maybe 10% of the market?). Mind you that will change if Macs become more popular. So don't ignore security, but there's no need to be as paranoid about it as you have to with a pc.
I believe that new PCs now ship with Vista preinstalled and you really don't want that. From what I hear its the worst, buggiest, malfunctioning excuse of an operating system ever released. The foreign language versions are reported to be so badly translated that they are practically unusable. It took them 8 years to try and plagiarize the Mac (Windows was an imitation of a Mac from day one) and they still didn't get it right. I think Microsoft just dug its own grave
I'm late in this discussion, but I have Mac too and I have listed on b4b when it was new, using Firefox. Don't know what the BAO is though. Anyway, the only reason why Mac users are sometimes left out is that Microsoft has managed to establish its own protocols as pseudo standard for web functions. If web designers would follow the international, brand neutral standards then everybody would be able to use all websites. So its really not a Mac problem. Linux users encounter similar problems. I just ignore sites that don't work, although its gotten a lot better than just a few years ago. There are hardly any that won't work.
You can sell patterns on b4b too.
Beautiful bear Birgitte! Did you send it to the princess?
For me it was step #24. Hilarious!
Jennifer, have you thought about putting one of those extra strong little magnets in your bear and a metal disk in your cupcake? That way the bear would stay put, but could be removed and re-attached as desired.
From me too

I am watching the evening news and am shocked to see the shooting at a Virginia college this morning. They now say that 22 have been killed (possibly as many as 29 ) and 22 injured.
This is so terrible. I can't understand how things like this can happen. I hope, no teddy talkers are affected. My condolences to the families.

Sophie - I couldn't find all either, but voted anyway. There are some really nice new bears I hadn't seen before. Love them!
Nicci recently became a TT member and we have been discussing her wonderful horses on several threads. She even explained how she makes them.

Strange, when I clicked your link I got several pop-up windows trying to convince me to install a program to check my computer for errors. I closed them and was kicked out of your site. Looked like an attempt to give me a virus or something.
Oh wow, love them all. So cute and such variety. Great!
Congratulations Heather! 4 and 1 for me too!
Well, the simplest pattern would be a Mr. Bean type bear. I used to make them when I was 10. Just knit rectangles in knit stitch back and forth (not stockinette) and sew them together. There are free patterns on the internet too. Check out the links on this site http://www.knittingpatterncentral.com/d … _bears.php
I saw that too and wondered about it. Maybe with liquid Fimo?
   Are those ducks for real? Trained pick pockets.
Wendy, podcasts are like talk shows, or spoken blogs. In the knitting podcasts they talk about new yarns and properties of different fibers, they review books and patterns, report from craft shows, have live interviews etc. All mixed with anecdotes from their lives, funny stories etc. You can listen to them on your computer or on an mp3 player. Most podcasts have websites where you can download the different episodes or you can go to iTunes and search for podcasts. They are free to download even in iTunes!
I think you might like these wacky ladies http://limenviolet.blogspot.com/, even if you're not into knitting and of course there is a guy in Sydney who does a knitting podcast http://www.sticksandstring.com.au/
Besides craft podcasts there are of course all kinds, as with blogs. You could listen to them while you sew/needle felt. But beware, its addictive
There have been a few posts on blogs and I think it is great that there are some teddy bear blogs now. However, I spend too much time on the internet already (as many others do too ) and don't read blogs very often. What I do instead is listen to podcasts, mostly knitting and crochet related, sometimes quilting podcasts. I put them on my ipod and listen on the bus to and from work. Its really fun and I have a long list of favourites now. Anyway, does anyone know about a teddy podcast? Or perhaps someone here feels like starting one? I particularly like podcasts where two people interact, discussing things and contributing different views. Just a thought to encourage whoever may be thinking about doing this.
I really love my dragon, so I included an extra pic of it (not a Teddy I know). The pattern is by judith prior, her dragons are soo nice!
I like dragons too and your's is really beautiful. Looks like very fiddly work, turning those thin fingers and such. Good job!
OMG it doesn't get any cuter than that. Thanks Bobbie!
