A little Wilbur... how cute

Ellen thanks for the pm, just getting the dates sorted properly and will let you know.
Kelly Dean, that clip is stunning.
Shane, thanks for that. I love hearing from other people that have been to a place.
Thank you everyone for helping. I am getting excited now. Found a stunning coat pattern online and will get that started soon. Can wear it in Lyon the following month. Feels a bit bizarre to be planning a winter wardrobe living on a tropical island.....
Cyndee, so that's how you do it.... I so miss having animals and cant imagine anyone having to go cargo. That is why I am doing without now. Our cat is living with "Gran". What about quarantine?
Thank you Nancy. I am not a great shopper, but look forward to the old city. I love taking photos. The company has booked accommodation so not too sure about that. But pleased you said the subway system does work. I saw on the internet, but would rather hear it from someone. I use the metro a lot in Lyon when we are in France and that works very well. My Husband's company is based there so we go at least twice a year. One thing I have a huge passion for is local textiles, museums, specially ones that portray normal life. Specially love old kitchens.
I have the whole week of the conference to explore alone, gosh I wish one of you was with me
That would be so good Ellen. But I don't think we will get to the US this time. The Visa's are a problem. But the way I am traveling lately I am sure to get there soon. Weren't you planning a bike trip through Canada? Would love to meet you and talk bears and bikes... We are going back to South Africa in December for our vacation and to RIDE. Our friends who look after our bike have put in a communication system. So now we can talk to each other. They have one on their bike and miss it when they ride ours.
Thanks Peter. It was lovely to hear. Which do you speak? Or all 3? I have a basic understanding of German, Dutch used to be fluent, loosing it a little, and very little french. But your ratio of people to language is roughly the same as South Africa. We have 47 million people and 11 official languages. Then still dialects, immigrant languages and funigalo spoken by workers on the mines that is a mix of all of them. A bit silly really.
We could all meet in Montreal. Now there is a plan.... Good thinking Jane. Should I pick you up before I swing by Cyndee??? Cyndee how do you travel with Herbie?
Sure Cyndee, , no prob. will let you know when to put the kettle on..... I really wish I could. Cant stay long cause we have to get back to the Philippines to fly to France and South Africa at the end of November. Don't know what happens next though. We have been offered another year here, but I don't know that I can do it.
Hi
Dino has a conference in Montreal in October. Going to be there for a week plus taking another week off to see stuff. Any advise??? Know it is going to be pretty cold. Considering we live in the tropics. But good things to do and see. Any thing. Anyone live nearby?
In want to kiss that tummy
Thank you for posting that Peter. I also love Eli's. Been to Addo elephant park in South Africa a number of times. Used to collect Elephants. Had about 100, the box got lost in one of the moves.... But the video was amazing to watch. Never seen a baby so new.... saw a baby giraffe take its first steps in the bush once.
Peter please settle a "dispute", what language is the lady speaking? Without displaying too much ignorance I had it as dutch. I can even read the articles. Which means Belgium is a good country to consider, I can understand what is going on around me
Thank you for letting us know. Been thinking about you both. Poor sausage.
He is really lovely. You must be so proud. I would be. He is a very dear little bear
Well done you    cant wait to see the pics :photo:
looks like a little chocolate powder puff. how cute.
Best of luck to you and Tiffani.
Bobby, that is such a good point. We put so much into our bears. Someone parted with hard earned money to get them. Hand written appreciation is so good. I think striking a balance between business and personal touch is a real art.
The photography point is good. I also use my camera to do an impersonal check on the bear. Amazing what "macro" picks up that you don't notice. Often looking at photos I notice a thread or stitch that isn't quite right.
Cyndee I know what you mean. I live vicariously through all of you with animals. But you got Herbie....
I always used to threaten on bath day that I was going to gather up all the hair and knit another dog, and when cleaning out the vacuum cleaner bag....   now I miss those days so much.
Beth your dog has such a pretty face and looks like she is a sweety.
I NEED a fur baby
welcome back Tami. The poor fluffy soul looks a tad fed up??? But such cuties. Thanks to Sue for keeping us amused while you were gone. Thomas those pigs look very weird, kinda half scary and half cute. Cant decide. One of my funniest childhood memories is my Dad and uncle trying to catch a pig .......
Gosh she is beautiful. Lovely to see her grow up. And as she proved on Monday, such a good girl.
Oh Brenda what a rotten day. But Linda is right. Dakota sounds like a star. Has to get better from here
I travel a lot and often take bears but have to admit I am a chicken. I put them into my check in luggage. I had a regulation pair of scissors confiscated at Bangkok airport, after being through at least 7 other airports. I don't play anymore. The mini bears worry me cause they must look a bit odd on xray. All those cotter pins in such a small thing.....
Daphne it is a pleasure, I still feel like I have something stuck in the back of my mind. If it ever comes out I will let you know. One thing, If your project is not aimed at TT'ers then... important to join a forum like this. Does keep you informed and up to date. As well as making good friends.
Jeanne that is precisely why I haven't sold. I see it as a business. One I don't want to begin the wrong way, it is too hard to go back and fix mistakes you have made. I would rather hit it right the first time. Last year, in my opinion, was a bad time to start with the economy crashing. So I guess you have to read the economic climate too.
The indemnity, good one, forgot about that.
I did go to the dentist.
I am sending you a pm.
