I would love to go but it is a bit far for me, hubby not interested you see will just have to hope someone from here takes piccies
CSI eat your heart out, I have left dna on my few that I have made so far, maybe we could have a dna log (like a fingerprint one) would cut out copy cats
Thanks for posting photos, Samantha your bears are just so cute, I can understand why you won and Marion, matilda is just awesome, I am with Jodi on this I have tried to crochet scarfs in a long shaggy wool and my god how do you see the stitches, I ended up doing about 6 trebles in 1 hole and a futher 3 in the row below
What a little sweetheart, shading looks great
All works for me too, very fast load up-can't stand having to wait, love the picis of you with your pets
I love these sorts of things, am mostly hopeless, would love to have said 6 F's but only 4 I'm afraid
So glad you are feeling better
What a little cutie, I too am allergic to cats and rabbits, its the dense hair, its funny I grew up with cats and became allergic at 21. I think I am also allergic to dogs that have short dense fur and would you believe faux bear fur??!! but only mild thank god. I hope you can work out why you have had a reaction, her fur does not seem too dense or thick, we have an alsation and it only really bothers me if she has not been groomed for a while, good luck
Many many congrats to everyone, please please can we see photos
Hi Melanie I hand sew but I am quiet new, I dare not try a machine as I can only sew big pieces in straight lines
Patty, If you don't mind me asking what happened to your hand, I have read a few comments about hand problems and how do I take care of them
What another gorgeous fabric, I do so like the long frosted look , she is very cute :rose:
Ps I have about 6 pieces to make up, got abit carried away
Lynette????, I hope that it is a short farewell, it sounded so final
We have had a similar change in the Uk with our postal service and the charge is now decided on weight and size, it just makes it so difficult to work out the costs.
My first sold bear went to australia, I dutifully checked her weight and size prior to listing and estimated a $25 (£12.50)charge, (I would never want to charge over for the posting as it seems greedy and wrong), anyway when I got to the post office it came to about $34 (£16.70), I am not sure how to price future listings as I don't want potential customers to think I am over charging for post but at the end of the day I have to cover the costs??

Tami that is priceless, you had me going right to the end.
Good way of saving space though
Its a shame you can't test drive new needles
Jodi the needleless   Love that one
Go eat cake, cake is good at any time of the day or night
Lynette, how disgusting , duly signed xx
Jodi YES YES YES, between bear no3 and 4 I lost my needle and had to use another, I was so mad , hubby did not understand "a needle is a needle" he says, "No" I said to which he just smiled an indulgent smile and said "your mothers of on one again" (hormones!!) Luckily I found it attatched to a piece of material the next day but it felt very uncomfortable sewing with another one, you have my sympathies, god knows what I will do when it breaks as it was part of a multi-pack and I have not got a clue what size it is
When I was purchasing my first piece of faux fur (from a local shop and they only had a few good quality bits), a child infront of me spoke to his mother saying "oh mummy you can make a bear with this" and as I am a people person I smiled and spoke to her, I explained that I had just started, If I had not been reading TT at the time (I read it for a few months before joining) I would have been very put off carrying on her tone was a bit off and superior, luckily I already knew this site was full of warm kind people who cared about each other, even though most had never met, we may all have different opinions and voice them at times but the people here are very quick to offer help, a kind word or sympathy.
It seems to me that the teacher like the lady in the shop (who insisted that I must have heard of her) were of a jealous type and possibly have a problem with competition, hope you understand this but when we all look at others work on this site we think wow, I wish I could do that, our feet are on the ground. Others like the lady I met do not think like that they forget that at some point they were new too and they are jealous of others creations. Why else would they have such a strong reaction to TT????Like Shelli says its how you view the world.
I feel sorry for their bears, they can't be filled with many cuddles
It certainly is a tear jerker
But it does make you think because I am sure that we are all guilty of something, my parents thank god are not at that stage yet, they are 68 and 69, although my mum repeats herself constantly and sometimes you feel yourself getting irritated, I will try in future not too.
Thank you Judi
"Justin Toomd", "Rose Fromthedead" "Drew Blood" & "Kat Atonic". My bunny "Hoppin' Don D. Bunnietrail"
Just love those names
It sounds brilliant, low overheads etc, you know your market and have the experience
Debbie, so glad you like it but I am not sure I can come up with a coffee swilling trollopes outfit but believe me I am working on it????!!!!
Hi everyone, although I am very new I have to say that names are important to me, I too have laid awake thinking of names for bears I have not even made yet, my latest bear which I will be posting tomorrow on TT just had to be Hamish, he named himself immediately after I had released (cut) him from the material
Unfortuneately my next half made bear has decied that she is going to be Latte Lily (after the very nice coffee wip coloured sparse mohair) I have told her that she sounds as if she has dubious morals but she won't change her mind, however hard I try, I just keep coming back to the same name
I so want a magic wand, would remortgage my house for one, sell all my possessions including hubby (only joking)
How delightful, such a lovely sentiment
