Little Huey (12") is a lovely cinnamon coloured traditional mohair teddy bear. I have knitted him a cute cable jumper to keep him cosy on those crisp Autumn mornings we are about to have! Huey is available for immediate adoption from my website: www.allbear.co.uk

Such lovely comments, thank you! The mohair was a delight to work with, so pretty
'Melba' is one of my latest shop exclusive bears ... she was made for the 'Teddy Bear Hollow' shop in Loughborough, UK. At 19" she is a lovely armful! I hope you enjoy her picture :)

When my son left home a couple of years ago, his bedroom became my workroom and I love this room to work in! Before that I worked in a smaller bedroom and before that, from home in my living room and on my kitchen table ... and before that, I shared premises across town (with my ex-husband before we divorced) - so over the years, I've set up 'bear camp' just about everywhere!
I certainly understand what you mean about the isolation of working from home though, it can be very tough. Working from home can be very lonely, but I've done it for so many years now, I don't think I'd like to go back to a 'normal' working environment ... I like my own company most of the time. That said, the isolation can be hard to cope with, so to help combat it, I recently adopted a puppy (now almost six months old) and she has changed things hugely for me. Polly is so much fun and terrific company ... and she makes sure I break up our day with walks, which is proving much better for my health. Mind you, I must confess, I didn't get much work done when she first arrived!

Glad you enjoyed it, thank you for visiting!
We are featuring the best of the Guild's July submissions this week, in our 'Special Slideshow' ... there are some super creations, so please pop over to www.masterbearcrafters.ning.com to see what our members have been working on, thanks!
I would just add, there isn't ever a need to justify why you can't donate, just a polite refusal should be enough.
I won't donate to charities asked of me by total strangers, but have been known to get involved with group projects where I know the organiser. Also, in the past, I have run charity events, so sometimes it can be about giving up time, rather than a bear. Overall, I think the best thing is to be straight ... I was asked for a bear today by someone I don't know, so I just said 'sorry I am unable to donate, but I wish you well with your event'.
You should never feel pressured to give away your work for charity, but once in a while when the circumstances are right for you, it can be a nice way of giving something back.
So glad you all like him, thank you for the lovely comments!
Thank you John!
Patchouli is looking for a kind new owner ... someone who understands his need to fill that big tummy with honey! Available from www.allbear.co.uk or send me a message for more details :)
Thank you for the lovely compliments, I'm so glad you like my trio of traditional teddy bears!
Sadly the Teddy Bear annual has ceased publication since Kathy resigned her position as editor a few months ago. I don't know if this is a permanent decision on behalf of the publishers, but it is definitely a big loss at the moment.
Update: I am happy to say my little Carousel clown bear and Clover the bunny, have both been adopted! Patchouli, Meadow and Butterfly are still currently available from www.allbear.co.uk
Great idea Michelle, this is a lovely thread! I'd like to add a couple more pics ... how about this time an early traditional teddy bear of mine from the mid 1990's and my most recent ...
This was Orwell, made about fifteen years ago or so. He was about 24" tall and I made him in an edition of about ten bears, which sold out. I was thrilled with him at the time and even now, still think he had lots of charm. He was the first traditional bear I made that I felt completely happy with. :)
And this is 'Chester', a 19" traditional teddy bear. I finished him a couple of days ago and as you can see, his design is a little more 'refined'!
This lovely teddy trio will be arriving at 'The Bear Shop' in Norwich, UK tomorrow ...
Introducing 19" Chester (back) 18" Beau (front left) and 18" Clement (front right)
Thank you for the lovely comments! These were great fun to put together
I would like to invite you to see my 'Picnic Collection' ... available for adoption now from my website www.allbear.co.uk
Introducing Clover the bunny, Butterfly the ellie, Meadow (yellow girl bear in knitted dress and straw hat) and Patchouli (cinnamon bear with neckerchief) ... also little Carousel who has already been adopted.
Full details and payment options are now on my website. Thank you for looking

These teddy bear (and friends) 'faces' have been carefully selected because they are uniquely expressive and of course, beautifully made - also, because as Sue Ann says, they showcase a wonderful range of talents and diversity of artistic approach. We have over 700 bearcrafting members on the Guild, working in all teddy related genres, so please expect to see both traditional and contemporary bears in this fascinating slideshow, lol! I love that bear artists are not only creating wonderful representations of traditional teddy bears, but also more 'cutting edge' interpretations, as I think it keeps the teddy bear world fresh and exciting!
Thank you for visiting the showcase, I hope you all found bears to fall in love with, bears to admire and also bears to give you food for thought, lol!
Ever in search of the 'perfect' face, our Guild members have excelled themselves with these beautiful bears! Please come along and watch our slideshow to 'Focus on Faces' this week!
SueAnn, you are very welcome, your bear is wonderful! So glad you enjoyed the showcase.
Peter, Delighted to be able to introduce you to someone you had yet to hear of! Shirley is UK bear artist and has recently started a Facebook page for her bears ... https://www.facebook.com/pages/Berine-T … ts&fref=ts
