I have made a bear to commemorate the centenary of the sinking of the White Star Line ship the Titanic 100 years ago in 1912.

He is made in my oldie loved style with darns and shading for the old loved look.I have given him antique boot button eyes and he is made from black mohair . I have hung some old 1912 coins around his neck -one is a silver threepenny bit and he has a replica post card with him of the two White Star Line ships -the Titanic and her sister ship the Olympus.

I absolutely loved making this panda and he has turned out much better than I thought he would.I am new to needle felting but don't now break so many needles or stab my fingers as often.
Mungo has a needle felted muzzle and I was inspired by my dogs droopy jowls and her big mournful eyes.Hope you like him -she is on bearpile.

I have made some small 7" bears that I am calling My Poppets -got them ready to show at the Hugglets teddy bear show in London on the 26th Feb. Hope you like them -they have hand crafted porcelain faces with set in dolls eyes.
