I hate when computers get stuborn like that! Kohl is sooooo cute! He's very real looking. His little claws are amazing. You are a talent!
Thanks everyone! Your compliments mean a lot to me. You all do such wonderful bears! I wanted to give Posie an expression like she's dreaming of something wonderful. There's nothing like the expression on a sleeping pigs face. They always show so much emotion. It's kind of like when you see your dog wag his tail when he's sleeping.
He's fantastic! I love his expression.
I just finished needle felting Posie and her little teddy. Her teddy is 5 way thread jointed and is completely needle felt. He's 6 inches from his head to his toes and Posie is 8 1/2 inches not including her tail. Her bed is made from Japanese kimono silk. The fabric has silver and gold threads running through it. But the photo didn't pick that up. I hope you enjoy them.
He's so cute! Good luck with his auction!
He has such a soulful expression. I love his eyes and his big feet. He looks so cuddly. He's beautiful!
I'm really cheap. I use a HP Photosmart (6-something I forgot the number). I bought it on eBay for under $100. It takes pretty good pictures and has a lot of options for focus, etc. 8 megapixels. It also uses regular AA batteries. I use rechargables because it really eats through them. It also has a habit of bluing things a tiny bit. I fix that in my photo editing program. You can check my blog and website to see the pics I get from it. If I had the money, I'd go for a Cannon SLR or Rebel.
Hmm I've thought of doing the same. I suppose you'd have to make a cloth bag for the shot. Then felt a piece of core wool about 1/4 inch to 1/2 inch thick. Then felt that piece around the bag of shot. Good Luck.
Sales are way off on eBay, too. He had a lot of character. I'd give him another shot in the fall.
Thanks again everyone!
Here's their urls, Allison. They both start tonight at 6:45 PM PDT-

Thanks everyone!
Joanne, I live in the Mojave in the Southern Sierra foothills about 100 miles from Death Valley. It cooled off today a bit. It was only about 105 today.
Thanks everyone! Your compliments mean a lot to me!
Your bear is very striking! I really like the mohair he's made from. He looks very angelic! The cart is cool, too!
I didn't get around to doing my listings yesterday. It was so incredibly hot, over 115 degress F. It was like walking out into a blast furnace to take pictures. So I decided to wait. It's still pretty hot out at 100 degrees on my front porch this morning at 9 am. I guess Summer has finally arrived.
The listings for Manitukala & Little Bit will begin Tuesday at 6:45 pm PDT. 20% from Manitukala's sale will be donated to Dreamchaser PMU Rescue and Rehabilitation and 20% to Sarvey Wildlife Care Center from Little Bit's auction. I designed them to be companion pieces.
Little Bit got his name for his small size and the fact that he's always asking for a little bit more. He wants to stay up to play just a little bit longer. When his mom calls him in from play hes always says "just a little bit more". It's also his favorite saying at dinner time. But Little Bit is not afraid to share a whole lot. Even though he'd like to have this big juicy red apple for his own, this tiny raccoon has decided to give it to his new friend Manitukala.
Manitukala was inspired by the little orphaned foal at Dreamchaser by the same name. His name means guardian angel. He definitely has a guardian angel looking out for him. At last report from Susan from Dreamchaser, he is doing well. I'll post prices, etc, tomorrow before the listings go up. But I thought you might want to take an early peek.
     What a charmer! I love the way you do expressions! His paws are fabulous.
Apoxy sculpt claims 3 hours of workability. But in my experience it's only about 45 minutes. The one really cool thing is that you can carve and shape with a drimmel it once it's hardened, I like it much better than polymers. it works more like regular clay. You can use water to smooth it. If you work it in 15 minutes it really aheres to other surfaces.
I think that would shrink the wool somewhat. Joanne Liquitex makes an aditive that extends the drying time of acrylics. It's called slow-dri blending medium. I used it for my paintings because the desert heat would set my paint as soon as they hit the canvas.
I use Apoxy Sculpt by Aves. It comes in colors and you can mix a little acrylic paint with it to tint it.
She's so sweet! I love her smile!
Thanks for the nice compliments on Anuenue. They made my day
After reading Alison's post about the poor orphaned foal, I decided to ad Dreamchaser PMU as one of my charities that I donate to from my eBay sales. So here's the first for them. Anuenue means rainbow in Hawaiian. This little piggy is about 7 inches tall and was needle felted from Merino and Corriedale wool around a wire frame. Her eyes are German glass. Her lei, grass skirt and hibiscus flower are all removable. Anuenue's auction starts tonight on eBay at 6:46 PM PST. Her auction won't be viewable until then. You can read more about why I chose a pig in a hula skirt for this auction on my blog. http://needlefeltedart.blogspot.com
She's wonderful, Alison! I love her eyes. They're so expressive!
Still off. I'll let you know if I find anything else out.
I'm having the same problem with eBay.com, Melisa. Maybe its the seller view. I try logging in using my husband's id and let you know.
Hooray for selling your house! I kniow what you mean about the pets. When we showed ours the prospective buyers paid more attention to Maggie than the house. They would always ask if the house came with the dog. Good luck with your move!
