Hi everyone!!! Here is my latest bear, made of synthetic imported fabric and filled with steel shot. He has realistic eyes, a needle felted face, sculpted toes, and wired arms
. I named him Art since I've been working on him in my art class at school. He is for my grandmother for Christmas... I hope that she likes him and that you do too! I posted pictures on my blog www.heidisbears.blogspot.com showing how I made him. Thank you for looking and happy holidays!
He is adorable!!! I love his nose! Much better than my first attempt!
Very sweet!!!!!!!! I absolutely love your bears, they are my favorite!!
Thank you everyone for your good advice, it was all very helpful!! I finally finished the face tonight and blow dryed it on a low setting. So far so good! I'll post some pictures once hes all done!
Thank you Joanne for all the suggestions! The hot water/blow dryer sounds like a good idea. I think I might give that a try and see how it works out.
I went to the craft store the other day to look for modge podge but there was about 20 differnet types, I couldn't decide so I didn't get any. Is there a specific type you find that works best?
Soo sweet!!!!

Hi everyone!!! I just have a quick question. I am in the process of making a very small bear with a needle felted face and I just wanted to know if theres anything out there that i can put on the felt once its done to keep it from getting damaged ? I felted it pretty hard.. but I just want to make sure that this bear lasts for a long time. Thank you for your input!!
He is wonderful!!!! Love his face, claws, paws, fur, everything!!!
Very beautiful and the props look wonderful as well!

Very sweet!!!!

Its been pretty chilly here in Florida!! Once it reached 75 degress as the high for the day time people were already breaking out the winter boots and shivering
Beautiful bear!!!! Really well done!
Congratulations!
Yep... for sure a scam. My government teacher got the SAME exact email (he read it word for word to the class and asked us if we thought it was true or not...ironically we were discussing rights and laws dealing with computer privacy so it worked in well with the lecture
) the person said that they were one of his "former students." Best to just ignore it...
Wow he is great!! Very unique look... definetly one of my favorites of your bears
I dont have much experience with this myself since I've only tried needle felting eyelids (more like a socket?) once but maybe I can help lead you in the right direction. I found that you have to felt it a lot harder than you think in order for the eyes to look neat, you might want to try and create like a socket, or surround the eye with the felt. Do this by felting a seperate strip first and then applying it around the eye itself. After your done you could apply some kind of acrylic sealer to the eye lids- that will harden them up so that you can trim all of the little fuzzies away. I followed Joanne livingstons blog (Desert mountain bears) as I worked on my bears eyes ; she posts really good detailed instructions on how to needle felt the eyes along with lots of pictures... you might want to check it out as well
.
Wow what a cute little guy! Love where you took his pictures as well, so creative!!
Very sweet little bear! His feet are just perfect! And so is his expression! Great job!
