what a nice thing to say...thankyou!  And it is exciting - the nominations are always the BEST part of competitions - a whole mob of us can feel pleased for ourselves and each other....no nerves just yet!
You'll have to wait till tomorrow for the pics - I'm totally useless at such things, and never seem to have time to learn!  Jeremy is currently working away from home, and won't be back till late tonight.....and boy has he got LOTS to do this weekend!!!!

Must say - I agree with you Jane......it's not fair to breed such freaks - after all, they wouldn't stand a chance in the wild.

Last year, the first I knew about my nominations was when i got a couple of certificates through the post - and I think that was sometime in Nov. I guess this is all aimed at us placing adverts in the TBCI....

and Gemma - I read in your posts that you felt you were up against people who've been making bears for years....DON'T do yourself down, girl!!!! Your bears are absolutely gorgeous - and my goodness- last year you were the WINNING "newcomer" , and now???? Be proud of yourself!!! You deserved the nominations.
And lucky you - you will actually be there...... last year those of us who weren't had a LONG wait to get our bears back - but to be fair to Wendy, she had to spend time in hospital after Xmas to have a knee operation

I did post the pics a while back when we were all showing our entries.....if you want to see them again, it'll have to wait till the weekend......himself - "he who can DO complicated things on the computer" (unlike me - the original Luddite) is working in Italy at the moment, and only home for weekends.....
and I'm stuck with the "tragedy queen" - the "where's my daddy?" dog!!! Ho hum....

AAwwww thanks, Ellen..........must admit to being quite chuffed - it was worht the long wait!
And Ed - hmmm......the original of the Harvey design was inspired (!) by a mooning Bart Simpson on the parcel shelf of a neighbourhood kid's car!!!! The bear has become a bit of a bete noir....I positively HATE making the same bear again, but this has proved to be a really popular design. I've tweaked him around a few times, just to make him more interesting to make, and Harvey was my first attempt a needle felting a face.

With all the postal strikes in england, I figured that a lot of you will have quite a wait for the new TBS.....and since mine finally got here, just thought you'd like to know that Eliza's RAGSY, Catharine's WILLIAM , Kim's PUMPKIN PIE and Jenny's RAPHAEL are all in the "What's New" pages...and all looking quite gorgeous....good on ya', ladies!!!! :dance:  :dance:  :dance:
