I'm addicted to Synders of hanovers cheese pretzles pieces, and I just can't buy then here anymore. About a year ago I ordered 12 bags! LOL

There was an industry standard that is good to use as a starting point.  $10.00 per inch.  So a 10 inch bear should be somewhere around $100.

Good as a starting point for larger bears but sure won't work for minis!  bear_grin A 1" mini for $10.00!!!  bear_grin

I hate pricing bears - which is exactly what I am doing right now for the Calgary Bear Show (okay supposed to be doing - as soon as I get off here!  bear_grin ). If I really like the bear and don't really want to part with it the price usually ends up being higher. Cost of materials isn't so much a factor with minis - time can be to a certain extent. I usually end up lining them all up and saying if this one is X amount of money, this one should be a little higher and this one a little lower, etc. Not very scientific, I know!

Yes Edie, your bears are worth much more than $30 or $40 !!!!

I am also trying to price my bears this weekend and it's tough. I'm using the same method as you though because some of my bears are older and I think aren't as good so I can't possibly as for as much money as my 'best' work.

But it's tough and a totally personal thing. Guess I'm no help at all!

Wow, that is great! Congrats laura! I love the little dude with the hat!

psichick78

Krista, maybe I'll bring a bear to two as well. Daphne has a great idea

Thanks Daph, dont worry about budding out.......too bad you can't come. Darn Olive Garden, I hope the wait isn't 2 hours! oh boy!

I can just picture it now, two tables full of woman holding teddy bears.......LOL

I'll make sure to bring some fliers and postcards just in case.

Yeah, but try ORGNIZING the show AND making bears for it Laura and Lisa! I'm NOT complaining..... I choose to take on these responsibilities and I really do love it! But if I could be left alone for these next two weeks I'd be in heaven and get SO much done! But alas, hubs is unemployed and driving me crazy!!!

Wait! There is a lock on my studio room door though!!!  Hmmm.....

i soooo understand DAPH!!!!! Plus I have to 'be' at work for 40 hrs a week and that just makes me insane!

Aleta, I hear what you're saying. Bearmaking is soo much more than a hobby for most of us. It's necesary!

psichick78

Good advice here!

My solution for you is put all the pictures you want to save in ONE folder. Then 'right' click on the folder and scroll down to 'properties'. Here it will tell you exactly how many MB's that folder is. Then on your CD package it should tell you right there how many MB fits on that CD although the standard is what everyone on here has already told you.

psichick78

Sounds good Julie, I'll email who I can to let them know.

I knew I heard they didn't take reservations. That's soo annoying!

And yes, by my count there will be 8 of us. Just a perfect amount to have a really good time! I can't believe it's less than a week away!

Last night I thought someone had stolen my breasts. I was lying in bed and they were gone! As I jumped out of bed I was relieved to find that they had just been hiding in my armpits as I slept. Now I am keeping them

psichick78

wow, good for you!! I'm soo proud! It's a great pattern as well.

psichick78

wow! Amazing!

I just love that pic of them with their beaks open. That is a great shot!

psichick78

npe, but sounds cool though!

psichick78

You're too funny Sue Ann, link works for me!

psichick78

ha ha ha, Kim your cell phone story is too funny!

I once was holding a WHOLE BOTTLE OF KETCHUP while searching the house for the ketchup bottle?? Go figure! Guess i didn't notice what my other hand was doing?? LOL

psichick78

wow, sounds like a neat feature. Is there a fee for using it?

psichick78

wow, I never fray check my mohair before cutting. I only fray check the area's I will be ladder stitching. I find doing it the other way a waste of fray check and we all know making a bear can be expensive enough!

psichick78

Thanks! I love your pawpads and it's cool how you took techniques from several people to create a better way of doing it!
