Awwwwww this bear has that little something special - love the colour combo, his eyes and that wee nose - adorable!

Lovethosebears

I think thats why I have left my swap bear's head to sew last  bear_grin  I have pinned it twice and wasn't happy with it.  Will try again when the kids aren't around (so I can swear out loud if it goes wrong  ).  I've heard alot of times on this forum that the bears that cause the most trouble usually turn out to be the best - keep that in mind whilst doing head number three  bear_thumb

Ohhhhhhhhh this set is fab  bear_wub  My little girl's school did Alice in Wonderland on World Book Day - she went as the Dormouse - such cute characters.  Your style really suits the Cheshire Cat, big round cheesy smile face - adorable!

Hi,

Andrea I've not tried needlefelting yet - was it fiddly is that why you only did it once?  bear_grin

Geralye - no I think it was epoxy clay that was used   bear_original

Linda - that was what I was thinking.  bear_ermm

Joanne - thank you for explaining it for me.  It does sound fiddly, but I love the bears that have them.

Sue - Whilst looking for epoxy clay on ebay, I found Milliput and before your post I was going to ignore it, but I think I might just give it a go.  It sounds very similar to how I use the fimo but without using the oven.   I loved the nose you made for your latest bear (and of course the rest of him. bear_grin )  It looked so realistic (almost wet).

Krista - thanks for confirming that this is the way you do it too!

Thank you all for answering me - I can now sleep at night NOT thinking of noses

Hugs Ali

Lovethosebears

Hi,

I have read alot of ebay listings where people say that the nose is sculptured directly onto the face and is not sewn or glued and is not an attachment - for the life of me I just can't work this out (bet its obvious bear_grin)  How do they do it?  I would just love to know.   Curiosity is killing this cat  bear_grin

Many thanks, Ali

Sherroy - sorry to hear that, take care

I've answered about Emily on the other post - she is adorable  bear_wub

Lovethosebears

Awwwwwwww she is a real cutie  bear_wub  Glad she has arrived safely with her new mom, bet Jane is thrilled.

Lovethosebears

Ariane have you tried to email her rather than pm her - the TT messages might not go straight to her inbox but an email might.  Worth a try.

Lovethosebears

Awwwwwwwwww so gorgeous and worth the wait  bear_grin  I love the painting on their faces Kim, wish I could do my make-up like that!

Now the kids are back to school (after a particularly weird period of on and off), perhaps you can get some rest with just you and the littlest.

Lovethosebears

Hi Wubbie, I remember a post a while ago of someone who made an inside out bear, I think they made one out of an old pair of jeans too.  I can't find the posting, but if you want to give it a go, I would love to see what you come up with.  bear_thumb

Lovethosebears

Yay   I loved doing this last year, I will definately sign up for this.  Will pm you Gail!

Lovethosebears

Now that is just cruel Miss Kim!  Where are the piccies  bear_grin
