Because some people missed the deadline for the Holiday Card Swap, I want to be sure that everyone has a chance to sign up for the Valentine's Card Swap.

Details on the swap are in the first post in this thread.  Sign up now--and get those Valentines ready!

Hugs!

It's not too early to think of Valentine's Day, especially when we're such an international group!  Registration for the 2010 Valentine's Day card swap is now open.  The procedure will be similar to that for the Holiday Card Swap: send me your snail mail address, and then I will compile a list of participants, from which you will send Valentines to the five people whose names appear under yours on the list.  Handmade or purchased Valentines are fine.  If you want to send cards to everyone on the list, that is fine too.

To participate in the 2010 Valentine Card Swap, please send me your snail mail address in a private e-mail to plumcottagebears@gmail.com.  Since we are such an international group, please sign up by January 10, 2010.  I will compile the mailing list and send lists for proofreading by January 12, 2010. The final list should go out on January 15, 2010.  This is a month from Valentine's Day, but it should allow for the cards to get to their international destinations in good time.

Come join the 2010 Valentine Card Swap!  All TTers are welcome to participate.

Yes, there is a Walmart about a mile away.  I can take the bus there on Saturday.  We have a good bus system in this city.

With winter here, can spring be far behind?  Registration for the Valentine Card Swap will start on December 26, 2009!  More details to come!

Searching the Walmart website for "polyester fiberfill" only turned up references to dog beds filled with polyester fiberfill.

Thank you for the suggestion.  I will go to the Walmart website and look there.

I am looking forward to the show in San Diego January 16 & 17, and have cut and sewn many bears for the event.  The problem is--I'm running out of polyester fiberfill stuffing and need to order bulk stuffing in a hurry.  Today I went to the local mall in hopes that Joann's Fabrics would have some stuffing.  To my surprise, the erstwhile local Joann's outlet is no longer there.  The building where Joann's used to be is now occupied by, of all things, a dialysis center!  The mall was full of last minute shoppers, marked down holiday items, and kids in line for Santa's lap.

Anyway, I am in dire need of about 25 pounds of stuffing, and some plastic pellets as well.  Can anyone recommend a reliable source for ordering these items?  I want to bring new bears to the show in San Diego, but first I have to get the stuffing.  Thank you all for any leads you can provide.

Your kitten looks real!  The picture looks like a real kitten looking at him/herself in the mirror, reaching out a paw and wondering, "Who is that cat?"  Marvelous work, as usual!
