My issue just came in the mail today, Kathy! A great big CONGRATS to you and the bears! It's a beautiful cover and article! I'm thrilled for you!
Hugs,
Janice
She's so beautiful, soft and serene -

What a nice idea to have a special spot for local artists to showcase their bears. Can anyone become a follower? Not to post bears but to follow?
Yes, it's lovely, Conni!
So happy you decided to go outside your comfort zone because the result is absolutely adorable
Love the favicon, too! Great work!
Awesome! You are a true "Joanne-of-all-trades"!
Hugs,
Janice
So cute, Diane!
Hugs,
Janice
I think I know who inspired you! Your new little live puppy?!! Tina is adorable!
Hugs,
Janice
Thank you for posting this, Joanne! I feel so blessed to live close to you and Alison - it's always a joy to be part of the "Phoenix Welcoming Committee"! We've met so many wonderful bear people. Wouldn't it be great if we could welcome ALL of the TT artist's and collector's to Phoenix in March for the Bear Show?!!
She couldn't be more precious!
Hugs,
Janice
Oh Andrea, I am so sorry, I feel bad that my blog brought you tears. It has been a very positive experience for me, when I used to just think to myself about what I was working on or what new antiques or "goodies" I had found for my bears, now I have an outlet for those thoughts! It's been very therapeutic to "share" on my blog!
I cannot say that I understand what you are going through with your Mom but I can only imagine how you feel seeing her here in the physical being yet not being here mentally the way she used to be. Bless your heart, even though it seems like your Mom is not here with you, she is. Down deep in her heart she is encouraging you even though she cannot find the words to express
Lots of hugs,
Janice
Thank you so much, Gabriele!

Janice
I just became a "follower", Andrea! I finally entered the "Blogger" world in April and although my blog isn't a "Booh Bear Blog", I do post photos of works in progress! I do look forward to seeing what's new with you and the dragons!
Hugs,
Janice
And yes Janice, I remember that, I was a bit scared to email you because I admired your bears so much.. Which makes no sense at all lol... Again that time, someone was nice enough to let me know, It's nice that people look out for each other!
Karen,
What's funny is that I was surprised that such a famous artist even knew who I was to tell me someone was stealing my patterns! I was so happy that you told me - you were the nice person who let me know! Thanks to Woolybear this time!
I certainly don't mind if the people who buy my patterns sell their finished creations as long as they give me design credit. In fact, I am honored that they like my designs enough to make them and sell them! What is upsetting is when dishonest people take a pattern that I designed and they make copies of the pattern and then sell them as if they were the original pattern. I quit selling my patterns for almost 5 years when this happened to me the first time.
On the subject of using another artist's design, I've been designing and making bears for so many years that sometimes it's fun to sew using another artist's design but when I do, I give them credit and if I sell the piece, I make sure it is okay with them to do so first.
Hugs,
Janice
Congrats, everyone! Jenny, I did a happy dance for you!
Hugs,
Janice
He's wonderful! I love his "Glad-iolus"!
Sometimes breaks are necessary, Jenn. Whatever you choose to do, I wish you all the best.
Hugs,
Janice
Thank you so much, Heidi! I sure wish they still made fabric like this. The density just can't be found nowadays. It really was a joy to work with!
Hugs,
Janice
I agree with everyone - TT has changed tremendously over the past few years. A fellow artist turned me on to facebook a little over a year ago and it is so fast and easy just to pop in, make comments, read others comments and pop out! Then Joanne told me about "blogging" and in April, I finally took the plunge and started "blogging", too. It's hard to keep up with all the social media sites and it takes time away from bear making (my true love)! I'm sorry to see you go, Jenn. Hopefully we will see you on fb instead (btw, fb is where I saw your blog with the beautiful crocheted giveaways!)
Many hugs,
Janice
She's lovely, Diane! Quite a lady!
Hugs,
Janice
Thank you so much Katy and Peter! I appreciate your kind comments so much!

Janice
Jodie is one of the biggest bears I've made lately at 16" tall! She's made from gorgeous, soft and wavy kid mohair that my friend gave to me. She gave me Jodie's vintage outfit, as well! Jodie is on eBay now - her auction runs through Sunday, August 21st.

Oh, how could she not like Tristan - what a beautiful Birthday present for your Mom!
