Dilu, what cuties!! But if you want real feedback..............
The light colored bear is my favorite, but I have to admit I thought it was a bunny. A cute bunny though. That aside, I think that pattern is perfect.
On the other bear, maybe the body could be a little fatter?? More of a rounded belly maybe. But then again I'm no mini-mavin.
Other than that, great job!!!
Heather
PS, what kind of fabric did you use for the light colored bear?? I really like that stuff.
Ooh, I really like this one.
The shading you have done on the nose is superb!!!
Heather
I hate everyone too???? LOL
Judy, may I ask you a person question??
HOw long does this all take you?? IF I could make a lion or tiger, it would take me months. I mean, to needle felt a bears face alone takes soo long.
How do you do it??
Heather
PS, Shelli, can I use that disclaimer?? It's a great one. If not, I better get my boyfriend to write one. He's much better than me!! LOL
Heather
OUCH Judi!!! What a mental image I got!!!
Please give birth to more, pleeeeeeeeease!!!!! I neeeeeed one!!
Heather
Good question Kim
Mine are pretty flat. The kinds with the wire loop on the back. I can only imagine how difficult it would be to use round ones. OH BOY!!
Heather
Hey guys, me asking a question again.
I was going to message a few of you privatly about this, but dont' want to put anyone on the spot if they don't want to give their trade secrets away.
I have decided that on my bears, the eyes are too small, so I've decided to change that and use larger eyes, like I did with my sleep bear.... pictured here..
Problem is, I think the eyes stick out too much.
I sculpted the eyes alot, but only in a small area.
How do you make those large eyes look flush into the bears head??
Do I need to sculpt large circles where the eyes are to go?? Normally I just take in stitches from a small 'dot'. Maybe I should take in stitches in an area as large as the eye???
I'm confused!!
If anyone can help................................
Heather
I REALLY WANT THIS LAMB!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Great idea as well to put an armature in her. I bet she feels soooo cool!!
Heather
Wow, I don't have any good lion names, but I think your right about Simba.
That lion is sooo beautiful! Thanks for showing us the process, looks much better all painted up.
But I really want to tell you how much I love that lamb. What a face on that one!!!!!
Thanks for the inspriation,
Heather
My boss, after seeing one of my bears and laughing that people would pay so much for something like that, asked me why someone would pay that much.
I just simply answered,
" and why would anyone pay more that $10 for a painting?? "
Funny how he didn't have an answer.
People can be soo darn rude!!!
Heather
Great job!!!
Very christmasy, but still something that you can display all year. Who would want to put that little darling away?
Your Aunt is a very lucky lady
Heather
You guys are soo wonderfull!
I read Tony all the posts, and he's blushing!!
He is a keeper, isn't he??
I keep telling him to write, that's our fantasy life. Both of us sitting on a porch somewhere, him writing, me making teddies.
One day.................
Daphine, FINE I'll find a picture and post one. He he he Just dont tell him I'm gonna.
But really, you guys are soo sweet, glad I could share this with you all.
Lynn, not sure if I should make wedding bears. I wouldn't even know where to begin to clothe them.
Heather
Good news for sure!!!
You gals are soo funny about the rings!! He he hehehe
I'm not much into jewlery at all,and now after my proposal, my boyfriends knows much more then I do.
1K ring? Man, even with my little one, I am always hurting myself. I can't imagine what it would be like to have one that big.
Congrats,
Heather
Wow, now after the big proposal, my boyfriend wants me to start thinking about kids.
I always SWORE I would never have kids, now I find myself talking about it. OH BOY!!
So reading that for most of you, giving birth, or something with your kids was the most important day of your lives, really makes me think.
I would hate to be in my old age home, wondering what having kids would've been like.
You guys are just no help at all!!!
My most improtant day so far, was the day I decided to quit smoking. Small fried to having kids, but hey.
Heather
Again, thank you Daphine. I'm horrible and making bows.
Can I use this same technique on ribbon??
You are the best!
Heather
Daphine!! Soo kind!!
I use cotter pins, and I'm just about done with them, so I really appreciate the diagrams.
Question, can I just go the hardware store and ask for this stuff by name?? I hope so.
Thanks again,
Heather
Helena, What a talent you are!!! Such a great idea, and you made it so well.
I'm also with you on the squirrels!! We have many here and I love them! Soo cute and I don't care what anyone says
Heather
Okay, 1st. I think this is my favorite koala I've ever seen!!
2nd, SARAH!! Your sister is soo lucky!!! I wish I had one living in my tree, or my country. he he he he
Heather
Oh Kim, you do a great job making your bears as if they are 'alive'. I believe it!!
I never used to have tea parties, but I also used to hope and pray my stuffies would come to life. I wanted one soooo bad!!
Then Fraggle Rock came out, and I thought I would die if I didn't get a fragle.
Interesting I'm not the only one. I guess that's why as soon as I found teddy making, it was love at 1st sight.
Heather
We'll miss you, but sounds like you just can't pass that up!!
Sure does sound like you have alot of things to do, good luck! It will all be worth it in the end.
Heather
You are too fast Shelli, just as you posted this, I was adding the pictures.
Thanks, I'll make sure he reads your response.
He is a keeper,
I NEVER clean up after dinner nor do I do any laundry at all.
Heather
My boyfriend and I got engaged this weekend. Cute, but we own a house together, and have been together for 12 yrs so not suprising.
But he is such a sweetie, and writes much better than I do. I just wanted to share what he wrote for us to send friends and family.
Greetings to the important people in our lives.
A monumental occasion has occurred. After 12 years of good times, great memories and mutual growth, Heather Nicole Wing has accepted a marriage proposal from her beloved, Anthony Robert Klokocka.
The anticipated event took place on the Evening of Saturday November 5, 2005.
During the course of a seemingly innocent gathering of friends, Tony implemented his diabolical plan.
1 month prior to the fateful night, much research was conducted to find the perfect engagement ring and to devise the perfect misdirection, keeping our unsuspecting Heather completely in the dark.
With the token of professed love in possession, and all attendees in on the plan, the misdirection was put into play on the aforementioned night.
Heather was invited out on a car ride with one of her close friends who happened to invest a large amount of money in vehicle performance upgrades, allowing for the prefect excuse to get the "to-be-engaged" victim out of the house for 10 minutes.
Once at a sufficient distance, all parties involved leapt into action, preparing the bedroom with romantic lighting, scented candles and the most extravagant flower arrangement possible, all stored at another close by house to avoid any chance sightings by the lovely Heather.
Prior to Heather's return, the house was in a hush as the ring was passed around, inspected and ogled. Forced conversation ensued upon Heathers return, the shared excitement crackling in the air. Heather was quickly whisked upstairs to her chambers, hand in hand with her man. Suspicion was immediately etched on her face. While curiously looking at the candles and the massive flower filled vase at her bedside, Tony seized the opportunity to drop to one knee and profess his undying and unconditional love for this remarkable woman. Although filled with nervous trepidation, he knew what the answer would be, and of course, it was YES!
Shy, overwhelmed and joyful Heather inquired about all of the guests in the living room, "Now we have to go and tell all of them..." She left the rest unsaid.
Tony replies, "They already know... Come, and I'll introduce them all to my new fiancée.
And so it came to pass...
I've always wanted a very tacky Vegas wedding. So that's what we're going to do. My worst nightmare would be to have your typical wedding.
Okay, so thanks for reading,
Heather
