Teddy Talk: Creating, Collecting, Connecting

Until I started to make Teddy Bears I used to do wool embroidery, tapestry, free machine embroidery, crocheting, even got a quilt that needs quilting one day ....... Roxanne I love the cookies they are amazing...there sure is a wealth of talent on TT

I came to Australia 25yrs ago and I can tell you if I look back on my life in the UK it is in Black and White my time in Australia is Technicolour... I love this country. It is huge and diverse, parts remind me of Scotland and England... but it is sunny. Beaches of white sand that go for miles... I live in the Blue Mountains and it is a wonderful part of the world... The flora and fauna is magnificent, I hand feed rainbow lorikeets and can have up to 40 in the garden at one time. Kookaburra's come in to be fed, magpies chorus in the mornings is wonderful.. At this time we are having alot of rain and believe me it is well needed as we were in a 5yr drought so it is not our usual summer..

He is beautiful Stephanie..... I am sure she will be thrilled with him ...

Rag rugs in front of the fire .. Black lead fire surrounds with the oven and the kettle used to be on the top all the time.. boiler in the corner of kitchen ..... Sunday's a baked dinner of sorts ..  Mushy Peas, Yorkshire pudding on the dinner and then with jam for sweets... going for walks on Sunday evening (Summer) Mondays wash day washing was always boiled in the copper and then transfered into the tub and swished around with the dolly peg and then put through the mangel oh yes and blue bags to keep the washing white....... Bubble and squeak for dinner usually left over from Sunday...

Going to the Mattinee on a Saturday morning to watch Roy Rodgers .. Hopalong cassidy and  Flash Gordon ..having yoyo comps half time ...Paper nylon underskirts starched with sugar water ..... listening to the serials on the radio ...

I agree that he looks like a boy ......maybe if you put  pink bow in the hair near the ear could make it more girly looking ..then you could use either adornment ....I do like the collar one the best ..... I love the bear you have done a great job with it

Good on you Dilu, I have only tried it once and didn't do anything ..... not even a sniff so it put me off .... dissapointed I guess ... that was over a yr ago now
