She is a cutie. The colors are beautiful.
That's a cute one.
Meet Adonis. In Greek mythology, Adonis was restored to life. My Adonis was also restored to life. He is made from an old, very, very worn quilt. I was in a shop and seen this quilt that looked like it has really been through the wringer, but all I could see was a teddy bear. So here he is. I will be listing him on my website.
Wonderful! He looks so huggable.
Wonderful work! I'm sure your son will love him.
He sure is a cute little guy. I'm sure his tonsils will be back to normal soon, and you will have him spoiled beyond measure by then. Did the doctor tell you to have him gargle with salt water?
Beautiful!
So cute. It's hard to believe that she is crocheted. Amazing.
Bertie looks like a lovable kind of bear. He's adorable.
Congratulations! He is a cute one.
Sue Ann, the hen that hatched Desmond did not stay with him. She still has chicken eggs due to hatch next week, so she stayed on them. I have not put him with the ducks because they just run all around the property, and he would not be safe. But I do have 18 little chicks in a "nursery", and I put Desmond with them. It was really funny to see their initial reaction. I could almost hear things being said like "Your nose looks funny", "Why do you walk that way?". But everyone seems to have settled in real nice now and the chickens have accepted this unusual sibling.
This is my newest baby, Desmond. A few weeks ago my male duck was killed. That left me with only the two hens. Even though the hens are laying (all around the yard, it's like an Easter egg hunt every day), they are not sitting. So I found 3 of their eggs and put them under one of my chickens that wants to sit. I had given up, thinking it had been too long. That's what happens when you forget to mark the calendar. When I went to feed the chickens Saturday morning, this little yellow face was peeking out from under the hen. What a wonderful surprise.
He is adorable. That fur is beautiful.
It just doesn't get much cuter than that.
I have always had friends in the animal kingdom. Even as a very small child my closest friends were animals. The animals loved me just the way I was. They didn't care if I was too skinny, or if I didn't fit someone's mold. They still loved me. My stuffed animals were my fantasy world. Where I could dream of living with every kind of animal. In this world my friends were bears, lions, horses, dogs etc. etc. It was such a peaceful, loving place to retreat to. They were always there to give and receive hugs. They brought a smile to my face. Now I make critters that hopefully bring smiles to many faces and are there to comfort those that just need a hug.
Beautiful! I had a serious run in with a bottle rocket years ago. Too bad it wasn't a soft one like this.
Rosi is adorable. Beautiful dress.
I can relate to that.
Very cute kitty. I love the primitives.
Alison,
Maybe I've not explained well. They do adopt horses out after a thorough investigation of the home. Maybe what I'm thinking about is more of a sponsorship. Where you would sponsor a horse for a certain amount each month.
Thank you all so much. I do like the adoption idea. I will definitely work on this one.
Thank you all so much. Now you've got my mind rolling.
I am working with a horse rescue sanctuary in our area to do some fundraising. This is a non-profit organization, and they do such a wonderful work. Two years ago, they came to my rescue. At that time my daughter was very ill, and I had my hands full. They took a draft horse that I had here and gave him a wonderful home. That was such a help for me. I did not want to let go of the horse, but I was just unable to deal with any more in my life. Two weeks after they took the horse, my daughter passed away, so their help was very timely. I would appreciate any ideas any of you may be able to share as far as fundraising projects. I know that times are tough, but every little bit we can raise will help. They are having a used tack sale this weekend, so hopefully that will go well. I thank you in advance for any suggestions you may have.
Have you tried CRS craft supplies? I'm not sure, but I think they may carry kapok.
She is adorable. Her color reminds me of summer berries.
