Hello Teddy Talkers!! I went out to check the mail today expecting my AP scores and instead found a tiny little package from my grandmother who lives in Pennsylvania. I was surprised to unwrap a little 6 inch bear!!
. My grandma included a note which says that he is a Steiff bear that she has had for many years, my great grandmother gave him to her son when he got married to my grandmother She also said that it was made in Germany and she saw one at an antique auction house years ago that was selling for $125. So I have an estimate on how old this little guy is.. does anyone know a more exact date maybe and the history of this bear? I would be very curious to know! Thanks so much!

Here is my latest bear a 5 inch cub made of light brown imported synthetic fur. I made his shiny black nose from FIMO clay, and then polished it and painted it, I needle sculpted him tiny eye lids that can be opened or closed, and I then very lightly shaded his facial features. I also gave him pulled toes, and then signed his right foot. After working on this teddy for days I finally finished him late last night, so I decided to give him a little cotton pillow and hat with a fluffy pom pom on the end. I stuffed beddy teddy with half a pound of steel shot, and a little bit of polyfil. There will be more pictures on my blog - Heidisbears.blogspot.com along with step by step pictures I took along the way as I made him
. Thanks for looking!
