Well it is very cold here in Adelaide as well, but life is great. My darling Mother celebrated her 77th birthday this week, and we are just so proud of her. Fifteen years ago she had massive cancer throughout her body, and after lots of major surgery we were told "she only has three months to live and there is nothing more we can do".
She told the Doctors, "I can't die yet, I am still helping my children".
Well, she just got better and better and stronger and stronger and the Doctors couldn't explain why. Her six children are just so proud of her and her strength. Fifteen years later she is still doing wonderfully well. In that fifteen years of survival she has seen children married, lots more grandchildren born and several great-grandchildren born.
When people ask her how she did it, she says "I knew my children still needed me and I didn't have time to die".
She is just the most wonderful, woman and mother. To see her celebrate her 77th birthday, was to me, a complete miracle. Life is terrific, even in the freezing Winter.
