I got 2 lines in my head that i'm going to use if I ever win one of these!
lol, man, I actually knew most of these. This is a fun thread!
Hugs!

Ahh fellow movie buffs, I'm so excited...
after this thread started the other day, and Better Off Dead was mentioned, I just had to buy it. I haven't seen it since that first time I hired it on video in 19 something a rather (way to long ago to mention). On ebay I managed to get a new copy and I received it today.
I love it when something jogs your memory like this. It's a classic funny movie, even got the popcorn sorted to watch it tomorrow and reminisce.
So, hope you get a quote soon Jane, I'm waiting for the next knock on the head.
Mel
I think Miss Jane doodlebears might have forgotten about this game, so I am going to jump in and give you one to figure out. Is this ok with ya'll?
What is yours, Roxanne?
If the thread's been dropped can I suggest one - just cuz I gave an answer? (Still waiting for someone to recognize my Paper Moon answer..)
"Is somebody trying to tell me something??? Huh?? WHAT!!???"
okay with me...what about everyone else?
I think in Paper Moon she said "I want my 200 dollars." not 2 dollars. I remember it being a large amount. I love that movie!
I never saw Paper Moon (but Tatum was so cute in stills from it!) My "I want my two dollars" was from BETTER OFF DEAD, with John Cusack. One of the funniest, most odd teen movies I've ever seen.
I'm okay with Roxanne's new question. In keeping with the spirit of honest competition I am NOT Googling for answers and admit, I have no idea on this most recent one!
No, it was a common lower amount bill ($5? $10?) that Ryan 'doctored' with a phone number on it; a scam to get back more in change than she paid.
If they had $200 they wouldn't have been out scammimg. Maybe you're remembering the amount she had saved up & stored in her hat band, that Dad later scammed out of her.
Is this ok with ya'll?
I'm fuzzy-brained today! Is this the trivia question or your appeal for approval!!??
What's your line, Roxanne?
Oh Miss Bobbie, I was just asking for approval. I did not want to take anyone line or turn away form them...
Ok. here is my quote from a movie:
"Monsieur, I have to poop!"
Okay it's been awhile since I saw Paper Moon, but I've seen it a few times. I think I'm remembering one of the last lines from the movie when she's running after him with her skates and belongings. And he stops the truck and gets out...happy to see her but also frustrated, and she looks him dead in the eye and very serious threat says, "I want my 200 dollars!" Then he throws his hat on the ground in anger and their truck starts to roll away down the hill, which they then chase after, manage to get in and drive off down a country road. The End.
I'm thinking this is how it ended. Maybe the amount is wrong, but I was thinking it was a large sum. Now I will have to go watch it again. I should just buy it. That movie is wonderful.
Awe, darnit, I don't know this one.. lol.
Hugs!
Melanie
No clue.
LOL Eliza! I'll have to rent Paper Moon again (too bad it's not available on iTunes or I'd download it!!) It's one that isn't 'dated' but has a classic story line.
Right, that's the end. I was referring to the part in the pharmacy where Ryan goes in & pays for his purchase w/a larger bill, Tatum follows him, pays with a smaller bill & demands change for the bill that Dad 'planted' in the register just prior to her purchase.
Now I AM going to have to rent it! Almost hitting my Official Senior/AARP b'day!! Life's too busy these days & we get more stressed than ever!!
The good thing about these lines are that they're not the officially best-known & oft quoted ones a la Stripes/Hasta la vista, Baby/Make My Day/I don't think we're on Kansas anymore" type-lines.
The ones we're remembering are the ones that stike a resonance for us and aren't listed in Google!!
Keep them coming. It's bringing back Good Memories!
Roxanne, no clue...
Bobbie,
now I want to watch Paper Moon with you! If only you lived closer! We'd make a movie night of it!
Here's a Paper Moon trivia for you. What was the name of the actor who "wrestled" Ryan O'Neil's character? Hint: He's from a classic goofy Christmas movie.
ok, I will give you a hint on the quote:
"Monsieur, I have to poop!"
The movie stars Mel Gibson.
I have absolutely no idea!
ok, well that knocks out my thought pattern of animation flicks....trying to put those words into the Little Mermaid, Beauty and the Beast or Nemo:crackup:
ok....Gibson..... thinking more.
