Just thought you all might enjoy a little bit of our world in NM. We went on a little excursion today, and found a very old place. You can see it as a slide show at:http://outdoors.webshots.com/slideshow/561697429UsPHIo

Very cool, Charlotte!  How far back in history does this ghost town go?  Is it in the Albuquerque/Santa Fe/Taos area?  Think I could see the ghost of Georgia O'Keeffe in some of those shots!

Thanks SueAnn, Not positive about the history, some say it was a Civil War Outpost. There was a lot going on in the area during that time period. It is closer to Las Vegas, NM and not easily accessible. There is a very small town a little ways from there, where a few locals still live, but from what we hear, they aren't very welcoming to "Outsiders". Perhaps Georgia was there, but it would be more likely that she would be haunting similar places in the Abiquiu  area.

Thanks Pauline..it was very calm & tranquil. There were even some wood ducks in the river, and lots of cows around the whole area. Had to be careful walking...as there were lots of "cow pies"!!
