Eva, I found some scraps of 1" long black alpaca, and a scrap piece of 3" long black mohair, the alpaca is 18" by 8" and the mohair is 10""by 5", let me know if either of these or both would work and send me a PM with your addy and I will send them off to you.

Eva, maybe you could use tibetan lamb fur.
I've found some at a decent price, take a look here please:

It is white though, but I think you should be able to dye it black.

Thanks, I will check that out.   When I started this quest, I thought I could dye sherpa but being a synthetic it came out grey and would work for granny dolls.  Maybe I will design a granny doll one of these days.  bear_grin
