Chaska, MinnesotaHello Teddy Bear Friends: A friend of mine is a professional artist. She makes dolls and paints pictures of them. She wants to explore doing doll making classes but wants to research and talk to other doll makers. I know many bear artist also make dolls. So here are my questions:
-What are comparable forums in dolls (like our Teddy Talk) where she can connect with other doll makers?
-Can anybody recommend people she can talk to ask her questions about delving into giving doll workshops? -Who are famous doll artists (cloth or porcelain) and do they have websites that she can look up.

I can highly recommend Cloth Doll Artistry if your friend wants to connect with other doll makers. It's a very lively, creative forum and has many members working across all the genres.
There is also a yahoo group called Friends of Cloth Dolls which sends out daily digests with postings from dollmakers
