hi.
I have seen the most wonderful crocheted bear, I thougt is was made from mohair - but no, chrocheted ????
Anyone who know how this is possible ?
Lisa
I've wondered the same thing, Lisa!
Have you seen these bears? (Maybe this artist will share some secrets.) https://www.facebook.com/pages/Les-ours … ts&fref=ts

Yes Becky, I have seen a few on Bearpile, so lovely - I coud not belive they vere crocheted.
One is here, it looks sewn to me - I think I can see seams on the head and on the feet, but the
text say chrochet, strange....

Yes, that's a lovely little bear. (I don't see any seams.)
I hope someone can tell us more about this mystery!

Hi! I love crocheting, and would love to try this some day. I found this post by ThReAdTeDs from september, and it could give some answers:

Look at bear number 2. It says that it was chrocheted with magic thread, and then brushed.
Beautiful.
Hi I crochet bears that look like fur and it is crocheted with eyelash yarn or puffy yarn. I also crochet in mohair and brush to make a fur look...hope this helps x

Nice bears, Nicole! The yarn you used for the rose-colored bear really makes it look like a sewn bear.

Sorry, I only just see this post. Magic thread is a synthetic yarn. After crocheting you brush with a mohair brush, and the yarn fluffs up.
