Hello, I'm having someone make me a special teddy bear for me... however I am trying to find a safety nose or just a nose for the teddy bear that won't break easily like glass or clay... (i.e. nothing too delicate).. It's not meant for play but I like to be safe about things...
Anyhow, it's going to be a rather large teddy bear. Around maybe 5feet or so? Give or take. Maybe a bit smaller or a bit bigger...
Anywho, what I am wanting to know is if there is a way to get a plastic nose for that size bear?
I actually wanted a specific style:

A basic nose, that isn't too detailed and in a D-shape, and black. I also wanted to know if there were big black eyes for that size bear? Like the bear in mind would be a winnie the pooh style bear(not actually winnie the pooh- but in that sense- from the disney version).
Is there anyway I can get these ? I was looking for something highly durable and looks nice. I uhh... was wondering if there was any other way to get this kind of visual effect should I not find the proper size nose and eyes for the bear? I am dead set on a winnie the pooh (disney) style bear. lol
Anywho, I am very glad to be here. Maybe in time I'll attempt to learn on my own on how to make stuffies and teddies. Always did want to make my very own winnie the pooh and eeyore(not for sale I meant).
Of course I cannot sew that well and I have poor eyesight, so I was also wondering if in the case I want to make bears and plushies... Anyway to get the thread through the little hole if you're bad sighted? Anything that would help making teddies for beginners and experienced makers? I meant like any tools that make it easier to make? I hear making stuffed animals takes time, and I watched some tutorials before but my stuff always end up choppy, from the pattern to the end result.
Otherwise, if I could.. I have so many ideas from my childhood(not just from tv, games and movies- but actual creations) that I would love to have made...
That really is a big bear and I don`t think someone is selling noses that big.. you might try to make one yourself. Clay..Fimo.. a tiny box what looks like the nose shape you want and paint...
Welcome to Teddy Talk! If you're having a person make the teddy bear, would (s)he have ideas about getting a nose that would be appropriate? If nothing else, the person could embroider a suitable nose. You might be able to find huge eyes in a craft supply store. Hope you get the bear you're hoping for.
