whitebellyC.jpgFinally I get a break from dogs LOL

A custom ordered white bellied caique
Needle felted wool over wire with hand-painted glass eyes
About 3" not counting tail

Depending on the supplier sometimes if it says 8mm eyes it's talking about the iris only & not the whole eye, so be careful of that & it's good to ask the company.  I once ordered what I thought was 16mm eyes total around and it was just the iris so the whole eye was more like 22mm  bear_shocked
Also I glue my flat back eyes in.  I have done dragons where I cut sockets and then glue the eyes from the back side but it's more work than it's worth I think  bear_laugh I've used both needle felted and leather eyelids
And I get my eyes from http://www.glasseyesonline.com/

I've used copic markers to shade them in or simply glued them into place.

So I have a Brother 50 Stitch Computerized Sewing Machine It's not the best machine in the world at only $130 from wal-mart but I've been super happy with it so fare.  My question is does anyone own a Pfaff machine?  My grandmother has an older one (not sure of the model) but it's computerized and from around the 90's give or take & she wants to trade machines.

So I know Pfaffs are high in cost but are they good for bear & stuffed animal making.  I really like that my brother has the anti-bunch bobbin feature but I know the Pfaff cab embroider (which isn't something I really do) So would it be a good trade?

So any help would be great thanks!

enchantmentsart

Thanks!  They are each about 4" tall at the ears.

enchantmentsart

Thanks so much! bear_grin I gave him super bad posture

I use Navajo-Churro too for my core it's also sometimes called mandala wool too.  It's a nice off white, and then I felt with mohair or Merino on top.  For larger things I make a soft sculpt body out of muslin stuffed with poly-fil then just felt my wool on top.

bunny-1.jpgMy first big bunny!  He's about 15" tall counting his big ears.
I went a little crazy when I designed the pattern so the head has 8 parts  bear_ermm
So I'll be doing a redesign for sure if I make another one & I think I need to make the feet a bit bigger.
Made with faux fur & felt

Hi everyone I just wanted to check to see if anyone would be interested in being part of a banner link exchange.  Basically I but your banner on my website & you put my banner on yours it's that easy.  A good standard sized banner is 468X60 a little smaller than the banners seen on this page.  Don't have a banner?  Let me know & I can make one for you.  http://featherheart.net/links.html On my links page you can see more, grab my banner html & see samples of banners in that size.

Just add this html to your page, it can be a links page or where ever you like.  Then contact me with your html or banner & I'll add it to my page!

Totally off topic, but I love your dragon art cards. They are stunning

Thanks  I was going to post them here but the ATC area was removed bear_sad Glad you like them

enchantmentsart

OK thanks that's what I was thinking.  I only posted to that area once before

enchantmentsart

Ok sorry if I'm just dumb & missing this but I thought there was an area to post ACEO/ATC?  I can get to some post from the library but can't add new post, has that section been removed?  Or am I just lost (like normal) LOL
