Teddy Talk: Creating, Collecting, Connecting

Darn it...I typed a message and my connection failed...happens all the time.

I finally did it !!!!...question ..When I went to change the image size they gave me 2 little boxes Tall and Wide.... OKeeee but when

I would change one of them then the other one erases and they put in there whatever it wants ...HUH? Must be some little elves in there

playing tricks on me  :twisted:  You know it is that time of the year,  they are not making toys at this time. So.... I just ignored that

thing and went by another box above that I will call the BM box...I mean the KB box ( not to be confused with the KGB ) . I saw that I

could make it go under the  maximum allowed  100 KB  ...which I take to mean; the strain it will go thru to uplond my photo .

OK...Now you know I have been on this forum since its beginning and none of you have seen any of my bears except for the 2 mink

ones hugging for my Avatar. Ohh, yes Shelli has seen a few others of mine...I think I sent her to my yahoo photos one time.

Now...watch out , I am going to be sending lots of photo fuzzies your way...after Christmas .

Everybody, be good for Santa as he is due to arrive in a few days and is sooo busy.. he will be tossing some well wrapped  gifts down the

chimney  ( well wrapped so their fur doesn't get soot on them ).

Oh Daph..they are so hideously cute ! They act like they are the 3 monkeys , see no evil, hear no evil, speak no evil ...No, really ..they look like they are all saying ....at the same time; " Who, me " ?

I think they have loads of character and the noses DO NOT look like Koala bear noses...find a Kola nose on the net to show your mom, no disrespect... but she is wayyyy off. The term cute I think refers to many types of bears...like , baby faced cute, old fashion cute, worn out cute, whimsically cute...yours are a mix of real character and whimsical cute...and thats the truth !  :hug:

I have been  making real fur bears for years and they are DIFFICULT to make but, but, but......they always turn out  different... but CUTE  and soooo soft...customers just love them,        I don't think you can make an ugly mink bear .

I am not an expert but I figure the only way to make what we ourselves envision takes a lot of practice, its the same with any medium.  So you may have wanted a baby face cute bear and instead got a character cute bear....disappointing ?       and it wasn't even  fun either ! Pity your sewing room , must look like a tornado hit it after all the fits . 

I like the way you used the stole lining ...bet your aunt will too and I think she will just love the 3 bears that came into this world with such a difficult labor  for their mom.  OK. calm you feathers down Daph...you don't have to make any more real fur bears .  :pray:

Oddly enough....months or maybe years from now your eyes will land on some real  fur and what will pop into your mind is " Hmmmm, that would make a beautiful bear " ...he, he.... Do I dare ?.... :twisted:     Evil Winney

OK...I finally figured out how to get my photo into the Photofilter program and changed the image size to less than the required 185 x 270 Pixels

( 100  KB )  now....it says it cant load it because its a BMP image... it must be a gif. or j peg. or png  !!!! HELP !!!!!

Actually...I then sent the image to my yahoo mail box  ( figured Id trick it)    :twisted:  ... and it changed it to a jpeg , I think !!!!... Boy these computers can

drive you bonkers...so now , can someone help a poor little exhausted brain fried fingernailess innocent teddy bear person get that photo any

farther than that???       At least its corralled for now        :dance: .... Winney

Oh I am so glad to read this information. I have been looking all over the internet trying to find out something about Laura.

Reason being..my heart tells me she must have been a wonderful person, I wanted to "know" her , to see a photo of her. to know why she died...so in my prayers for her and her family I have this sort of " picture" of a real person, not just a name,  a person who shares with us at least several things in common, bears and creativeness and  more.

And....I thought what if she was somewhat of an unknown bear maker.... like some of us...would we be remembered or known ? How would it be if I happen to die right now....will I be remembered in the bear world ? If I never came into the greater light as a bear artist where other artists and collectors would know me...well, then only a few people would know about me ...perhaps.

I am so happy that Nancy has posted something about Laura. I will go there now..hope you all understand what I am trying to say...we are all connected, in love with bears and much more .....Hugs, Winney

Hmmm. I keep seeing colorful banners pop up here on the lower left side of the screen...how did you all get them  and how did you get them to pop up here ? So far I have seen Intercal, Potbelly Bears, Thread Teds ....Winney

I don't do nuffin either..well, I have COPD and Fibromyalgia so I can only do what I can do...whats that ? ...almost nuffin. he, he...

hmmm.what do I really do ? Cook dinner , and found its helpful to have pizza on Sat. and breakfast on Wed. and crock pot that will last 2 days so the leaves 3 days I have to come up with something else.

I did dishes by hand for about 14 years ( plus 27 with me former husband and 3 kids) ...then hubby did them, he very very very  soon got sick and tired of that so we agreeded..get a dishwasher! Believe me that saves about 1 to 2 hours a day.

We live in a mobile home and theres just 2 of us so house work is done on a piece meal effort...whenever it  obviously shows  that  it needs to be done. He usually vacuums , I do smaller jobs. He sometimes does the wash BUT I told him if he is not going to spot the clothes then DO NOT DO THE WASH !
Grocery shop we both go once about every 2 weeks.  I mainly clean up clutter , pay bills, cut his hair, wash the dog,  water plants, dust, mop, cook, plan on WHAT we are going to eat and then cook it. Oh and a zillion other picky kinds of jobs that pop up here and there.

Hey Dilu...what kind of clorox thingy are you talking about? I have to stay away from all sprays except I love Bubbles bath cleaner so what I do is  flip on the fan, hold my breath, spray the sink then run out and close the door behind me. Later I go in and wipe and rinse the sink.

I do the same thing with the tub. WEll...almost. Flip the fan on, fill the tub with 3 inches of warm water, when almost done dump about 1 cup liquid clorox in. Run out fast.... Later, I use the toilet brush to scrub the mat and the tub while the water drains . For the walls I tell my husband when ever we take a shower ( separately ) starting on a Mon.  just spray and clean 1 shower  wall ...then I will do the next one ..you do half of the bigger one..I will finish up with the last small one . The walls only ned to be done every 2 weeks, this makes it easy. Wish I could find a way to do the dog as easy as this...he, he.
I went to using the swiffer to mop the kitchen...it is a  lot easier on my breathing problem.
To dust I use a magnetic type cloth...that keeps the dust from flying around.
Bears???? If I am not sick I can get a lot done and I too think that if I had a REGULAR 8 hr. job....No house jobs would ever be done..only on the week ends ! So....treat you bear making the same way..if your selling them then you are working.....Winney

I know Kim...I have been  sick  a lot this last year, I was on steroids more than 4 times ...yikes!

My goal for this next year is to start straight way in January to get the ball rolling on my bears...yeahhhhhhh !....Winney
