i still struggle with the displays..i was having more interest in the displays,,people offeringto buy some of them..so i decided that i needed to put more focus on the bears! ( or start selling displays!)  being eye level on the table definately helped..i just bought some cool wire shelves that go in school lockers at staples..they fold flat..not as flat as boxes..but they are sturdy and cheap! thy juts had a sale and we bought the whole locker kits for 50 cents! i do love to play with the "themes" but uts hard to balance with travel weight etc  deb

just wanted to thank evryone fo rthe beautiful valentines i received in the swap and i hope you all consider the next card swap..this was my first and it was soo much fun! deb

i also have a full time job..tho i am not on call i live 40 minutes from where i work..( how you people with kids do this ..i will never know)  but im trying to be more organized and more portable..i/e that i can have small projects i can take with me..i cut stuff sometimes when i have an hour or so free..always on vacation i take mohair and patterns and i just cut and pin when my dh is in the shower or after we
ve ben exploring..i cant just sit and watch tv,. so i do that then also..then on an early morning when i hae a few minutes i sew some pieces etc..  havent perfected it yet..but im gaining!  you;re in good company if that helps!  deb

you did the best thing in the circumstance! some people are just ignorant! but i will all second the comment about the deaf couple..my friends are deaf and i sign,, badly,, but can communicate well enough..and his wife is like me..you cant tell my mood by my face..i just dont have one of those sweet smiley fces like my dh! when she signs her expressions are often grimaces etc,,but not related to what you might think sometimes! i was quite afraid of her at first,,and her husband is like mine..smiley handsome sweet..strangers love him.. not all things arew what they seem! but i am soo sorry that lady was so MEAN!  you make lovely bears! deb

actually thats the same with me..i love the really traditional bears but mine arent like that at all..and the "vintage " type bear i make is still not traditional..wierd isnt it,,i thought it was just me!  deb

i took  a class from Cindy Anshcutz many moons ago..yes she has been  a bear maker for many years! the kits is good in that it gives you templates to understand the proportions of making an adult bear versus a baby bear,,the special tool is (i believe ) a piece of wire to bend and measure your gusset length..) you bend it around your head pattern and then know how long your gusset should be,,and there are several opyions for different heads and stuff i think..  Cindy is probably best know for "gulliver " the traveling bear that Stieff later produced..she has an illness (ms) that prevents her from being active all the time..deb

Thanks Pam! cool link and cheaper actually than what i paid for the paper at the time!  the copier is a canon and on sale was just under $300 ( b&W)  personal copier..the cartridges come with to start  but they arent full ones i understand,,to replace them is  close to $100.but they last forever,,or you can just bop down to staples and let them run you off  a few sheets,, i can use the one at work but i cant fiddle with the settings! it was a gift to me form ME! last bonus at work! now i can enlarge patterns etc,, Lisa i use the paper for different craft stuff ..jewlery..gifts for family..their site is well worth touring!...and as for this printer..ive tried everything and now it doesnt want to run anything thru,,,grr! ,,,,      deb

yeah but who can afford the toner color ones!? i bought a regular personal copier and waited a long time to get a good deal on it! the cartridges will give you a nose bleed price wise! but they last a long time..i still love the good old 35 mm if i really want the picture to last! deb

Brenda i just typed in lazertran in google and bought it from their website! and ne forewarned its pricey! nobody local ever heard of it..of course in rural vt thats not unusual..even for craft supplies!  thanks deb

i guess ive had it about 7 months..works well except for this..dislike the top feed tho..should have stuck with the HP..all my co workers raved about the epsons tho and how much better the ink system was..thanks for the reply! deb

It means "fool the eye" in french..a friend sends me those photos all the time..i just cannot fathom the work that goes into them or the talent!! they are sooo 3D looking!!

any weather in MODERATION is nice!! but as i live in Vt there is no such a thing!
we finally have snow on the ground and after 40 degree weather for this long it feels like 30 below brrr! 50 car accidents the first day! took us over an extra hour both days this week to get to work! this morning we did about 20 miles an hr for 45 mins and sucked exhaust fumes the whole way!!  ugh!! people are still putting on their snow tires!! i dont know wether to laugh or cry! but we dont have any palm trees!!  do have cream! i can sympathize with no milk,,ugh black coffee,,,:):):) deb

any of you ladies played with the lazertran silk inkjet paper? there are a few different kinds and is not a bear  material ( not that i can find a use for yet anyway)!! but it makes lovely collage and craft projects..However i cannot seem to run it thru my new epson printer ( top load) like i can thru the HP..any thoughts? ive tried every setting etc,,its doesnt seem to want to "grab" the paper..one of those side crafts i play with!  altho collage and scrap art is not as easy as it looks! maybe i have to think like a child! no preconceptions!  ( who am i kidding i was a serious kid..) off topic but maybe someone has a clue for me?!  deb   

thats disgusting! how can people be so heartless? i will tell you a good story if it restores your faith a little bit..i have friends who live in the country also and her husband on an evening walk discovered a deer that clearly wasnt going to live ( after being hit) long enough for him to go back home for help..so rather than leave it..he lay down and held it until it died so it wouldnt die alone..he gave it what comfort he could, and later he wnt back with a shovel and made sure it rested in peace,  this is a tough, no nonsense kind of guy,who cried like a baby the whole time.. some peole have a heart,  deb

Sandra im so sorry..of course they washed the bear again afterwards! didnt mean to make you feel we were "trashing" anyone or shops either!  i have a springer spaneil and i just shudder to think what he could do to distress a bear! :) i alo have never heard of pariain essence,,interesting! is it a paint? or compound? and kim the "scribbly end of the spectrum is what makes your stuff so wonderful! ( ps the farside is one of my fav comics!) hugs to all deb

very cute laurie! i bet they do sell quickly with those faces! i watched cindy anshuntz distress a bear once and she was pulling the hair out with pliers i think ,,but there was a growler already in the bear and it cried every time she pulled! i cant get around the "in the dogs bed" part tho!  "comes form a smoke free home.." so i purchased my domain names (.com) thru earthlink..so i can still use them and they are mine? anyone webhost thru comcast? or have any other cautions or advice?  thanks for answering me Heather! deb

at long last my little corner of Vt may be getting hi speed internet! yeah! we've been standing in the driveway ..cable in hand ever since my dh saw the trucks before Christmas..!!  on to my question..i have earthlink with Verizon dial up..so we host with earthlink..if i switch to comcast and decide to swith away form earthlink..how iwll that affect my site in the search engines? or will it? domain names go with me? and how? help before he signs me up! :):)  deb
