Hi Melissa,
Since I am into tichy bears and fabric I thought I might comment :)
Sassy bears and Fabrics is a lovely lady - I purchased from when she had an ebay shop and since from her own web site - she does a schulte synthetic with a woven back (not stretch at all!) I am very sure she would be able to offer you a price for a larger piece fantastic fabric - I have used on a number of small bears
Beary Cheap's moccasin is lovely but I think more like a long pile cashmere and I found it has a bit of stretch - tho maybe I stuff too hard
Also there are a number of suppliers on ebay - Germany - I just bought a longer synthetic faux fur from a really nice lady but it was morelike 1/2" but maybe in the ebay germany shops you might find what you are looking for
Hope you do soon :)
Hugs

Hi Clare
I found a picture of my table too - sorry if not a good picture
Living in Scotland I only do a couple of shows at most in a year but I use collapsable crates now that fold into themselves to they are flat, also I have used a tiny music box chest of drawers for bears to climb on and my standard accessory is a small staircase that my partner John made for me
I array the boxes around the table end to end and also the stairs then use a different coloured drape dependant on season and then put some snow for winter or scatter flowers for summer. Always have star confetti scattered around (terrible mess a t the end but eye catching for collectors)
I have a sign which is effectively a slice from a tree - varnished a number of coats and then I had a sign maker guy (you know the kind who make plastic letters for signs and notices and tee shirts) anyway I got him to do my bear name in plastic and apply to the sign.
I do not know how I would travel far with all this stuff though as we go in the car
All the other idea sound great but I agree if a bear is raised peple can look him/her in the eye and you know that they say good eye contact is the way to make friends
I think plonking of bears is maybe not so common - most collectors I have met handle the bears a bit like babies or little animals (live ones I mean) - with great care and respect for their person.
What ever you decide Hope the show goes really well for you
Maybe you could post pictures after

Hi
I love waxed noses so I had a quick scan through the messages and I have to admit to cruelty to bears - when I have done my noses - which is definitely not as expert as the other makers here!!
I do not buff at all I take the bear upstairs to my room where I keep - my hairdryer
then I give the nose a gentle blast with the mid heat on the dryer until I see a healthy shining glow !!
Please no one think this is intentionly cruel I just found that my hands were not so good at buffing so necessity being the mother of invention - thats why I tried this

Yes Denise
I can really not remember my own wedding arrangements - long story some gaps in memory - or could even be senior moments
However I am having such fun too - yesterday went to a wedding show was inundated with leaflets and WOW!! everything cost so much - my daughter and her fiancee are paying for most things but there are some things like dress and flowers I am getting involved in .
Collina - my daughter has set ideas on what she wants but I just love her thoughts - she wants a wedding cake in the shape of a castle and I will be doing bears for additional interest!!
Anyway sorry becoming a bore -Ido hope that arrangements go smoothly for your daughter when available please share pictures :)

Hi,
I saw on one of the other posts a mention of ebay pulse - where you can see the highest number of watchers for items.
Offf I went to ebay - searched the help and then did a general help -
So now I know what it does
I know that people are listing the silliest things to get a record amount of watchers eg a piece of A4 paper with the word pooh on it and a silly sock monster thingy
But can I find the ebay pulse to get into it ?? No!!
So now at my wits end and quite disappointed in myself for not finding it I am Pleading for help from all you knowledgable beary people out there
Please! Please! Can someone help me find it in UK Ebay
I do hope someone out there can help me - I will be eternally grateful
(Bee in bonnet syndrome otherwise :o( )
