Well it seems strange being a shy,private person that I would be airing all on a public board but I have come to consider you all as family and true friends.    We laugh, we cry,we share ,we support. I have been very touched by the many messages of love and support I have received since my ordeal began just a short while ago.    :hug:  Some have pm'd and know the situation ,some just messaged love and support both before and after the surgery. I just wanted to let you know the results that I got today.
   I had found a lump in my lower abdomen around Christmas but had forgotten about it until a month later when it had grown in size. Tests showed a large tumor on my left ovary and I was facing surgery on my 41st birthday to remove the ovary and tumor and possibly more if needed. I ended up having a full abdominal hysterectomy to remove the tumor (not the present I wanted for my 41st birthday) and have just received the pathology report today. My tumor was benign and I feel so blessed to be cancer free as my family has dealt with cancer too many times already. I can't do a happy dance but I hope that you my dear friends will do one for me.  :dance:  Cheers to good health!! I'm hoping that this will be an end to years of feeling very sick and frustrated.

Nurse Dilu, I will follow all your good advice and try to do nothing but enjoy my family and sew new bears when I am able. I'm getting a bit nervous, I wish I new the test results before  the surgery so I know what to deal with.    Love you guys so very much!!  :hug:   :hug:   :hug:

Your right Shelli but the scary alternative to the "urgent" surgery that was set for a week and a half from the specialist appointment was a wait of at least three months while this thing continues to grow inside me.

Thanks Sue Ann,I made my birthday wish for a benign report but I won't know until I wake up again on Tuesday afternoon.

  I actually didn't have a choice of dates as my birthday was the first available emergency date. 

Kim,I din't get my test results back yet ,I'm just hoping for nothing bad to show up. I'll let you know when I hear but it may not be until the day of the surgery      :hug:

I had pain like that once and put heat on it and it turned out to be a hot apendix that almost burst and needed emergency surgery. The next time I had it it was a kidney stone and now a similar problem requires surgery so don't mess around,get it checked. Please take care and see a doctor.Hope you feel better very,very soon!!  :hug:   :hug:   :hug:

Brenda I know you mentioned diet in my other post and I have an 11 year old who reacted very badly to certain foods.We found the worst to be pop and especially anything with red dye. She could come home and I would say,you had something red and she would say no way,I didn't!! Then when I asked further I discovered she has actaully had something "pink"  :doh:  I know,she was right,it wasn't red but pink was just as bad. Worth a thought anyway. :hug:   :hug:

My surgery is Tuesday,Feb.21 which is also my birthday but since it's considered " urgent" ,I had no choice    I'm planning for a complete recovery by the end of March and as long as there are no nasty reports from the tests they sent away , I'll be back to better than normal in no time!!   :hug:   :hug:

Well Aleta, that looks like the most perfect place for me to recover from my birthday surgery on Tuesday so I'll just have the family load me on a plane. We wanted to move to Oregon where my husbands company is based a few years ago so I'll just come ahead without him. I don't take up much space and I don't eat  a whole lot so please say you will have me  :pray:  :pray:
I can even work for you,you could cut out the bears and I can hand-sew while I lay on that wonderful bed in that beautiful room. You could even dress me in white flowy things   
Oh and Penny,please don't hurt me,I'll share with you      Promise!!

Yeah! :dance:  :dance:  I have to clean mine too along with my whole house before I go in for my birthday surgery on Tuesday but I'm just too tired to get anything done.   I think I need a good kick in the butt!!
