Hey Jodi...Congratulations!
Christine did an article on me for TeddyBear Review a couple of years ago. She is fabulous and you are in very good hands!
Lucky girl!
Cheryl
Tami, I just so love your animal pics of the day. Thank you so much for going to all the effort to do them each day. They really bring a smile to my face. My little daughter is also very keen to check out the "animal lady" each day.
Thanks for saying that Christine! I was thinking that very thing earlier when my son asked if we could look up the 'pic of the day' and I realized that I always look at them but I never say thanks to Tami for posting them each day! SO.....Thanks Tami!
Cheryl
(and my son Wyatt who likes the cat pix best )
I'm very sorry for your loss, Sandra. Do what you need to do and we'll all still be here when you feel like coming back!
Cheryl
Ok Shelli... here you go! Probably not the best example of a bear with bells but I really like this bear so...
It is a Whendi Meagher bear. Is she a member of TT ?

If you think that's a lot to do - try to imagine dressing your toddlers to go outside. They end up looking like stiff little statues and you no sooner get them dressed when they HAVE to go pee!!! and you get one dressed and the other starts screaming and gets overheated.

I like my deerskin moccasins for warmth with good socks. I feel the heat much more than the cold so honestly prefer winter to summer. The biggest downside for me is the short days. The sun isn't up until 8 or so in the morning and its dark by 4:30. You really can go to work and come home again in the dark.
Nobody mentioned having to plug your car blockheater in at night if you want a prayer of it starting in the A.M.!
We have lots of homeless right now because of our booming economy out here in western Canada. It becomes a real danger to them and even though there are 'warming stations' set up, there are usually deaths that occur because of the cold.
I am grateful for my tiny but warm little cottage!
Cheryl
Today is not too bad...about -16C right now but Tuesday it was -32C in the morning with a windchill of -41C. We also have about 1 1/2 feet of snow. BRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR!
Cheryl
I would like to see someone being licked by a real bear!!
I remembered seeing this picture for the Discovery Wildlife Park in Innisfail, Alberta here in Canada.
I would like to see a...bear reading a book!
Cheryl
Wow Kim... Shadow is fabulous! I love it when artists try to think "outside the mohair" and try other mediums!
Great paint job too..if I can ask...did you Gesso first?
Cheryl
 I'm so happy for you and your husband  Nothing kills your spirit like a job that you hate!
Have fun shopping for a new house - how exciting!
Cheryl
Sounds like a new life philosophy to me!
My current one?
" I have a perfect size 2 body...I just need to keep it under a layer of fat so it doesn't get scratched!"
Thanks for sharing
Sometimes my inspiration comes from people walking down the street, especially if they are wearing something warm and furry. I will stare and think, that would make a lovely bear.
[b]OOps, just read the heading (non- bear inspiration... sorry)
No No Denise, you were absolutely right! Different things inspire my bear making and not necessarily things to do with bears...I am influenced a lot by Dollmakers. I just hate when someone recommends a book and I can't see it right away (I'm pretty much an instant gratification person ) so I suggested websites.
Cheryl
Apparently today is an 'actively avoiding work' day and so I was cruising through some of my favourite websites trying to get inspired to finish the 1/2 dozen WIPs (works in progress) I have going. When you're not looking at Teddys, what other media do you look at to get yourself refocused?
Where do you go to find inspiration on the web?
Here are just 3 of mine:

Maybe these are not your 'cup of tea', but they work for me and I really do want to know what works for you!

I have a good friend who is a fantastic photographer named Ron Hill, he's also my hair stylist! AndreaM
Wow...if he can also cook and give a good massage...marry him!
Seriously...great avatar, I love it!
It would depend on the day for me, between Choc on Choc and lemon meringue. Could we do chocolate on lemon meringue? mmmmm.......(sorry...I was having a moment !)
Today I was lemon meringue and my hubby was Choc on choc

I wonder what my other 5% is? My DH would probably say 'unintelligible gibberish' !
Isn't it funny, the love/hate relationship we have with snow? I was all stressed out because of the bad road conditions and because I still have problems with my knee after surgery and a fall would be disastrous! But a couple of years ago we had a brown Christmas and I was so bummed. It makes everything look so clean and fresh and I always think everything is a little quieter. A white Christmas is a definite for us now...I guess I am lucky!
 for everyone
It has been snowing here ( and really cold )in Edmonton for the last couple of days and then this morning...gorgeous winter blue sky that we are famous for!
Many highways are closed and the driving conditions are terrible and the forecast is for rain tomorrow... But today...isn't it pretty? (sorry, I live in the middle of the city so the pictures aren't that glamorous - just outside my front door.)
Also couldn't resist mucking about with photofiltre
I used to love Christmas but
.......I work retail , so that time of year is really stressful and I am tired all the time
Oh I hear you Jodi! For several years,I was the display designer for a chain of gift stores. The entire month of October was 12 hr. days of putting together Christmas trees, putting the lights on (at least 2000 per tree) and decorating with 100's of whatever was the theme that year. Of course everybody needed everything yesterday! I started to really hate Christmas.
At home I only had a 2 ft. tree with about 10 lights and 6 decorations...all white!
When I left that job, I started volunteering at my church, doing the gift baskets for the seniors and for families that needed a hand. Eventually what Christmas was supposed to be about came back to me. I hope you continue to find ways to make Christmas special for you!
And hey everybody..give a salesclerk a break this time of year...its hard work!
Mark and Susan always produce a fun show...hope you have a great time! Take lots of :photo: and share with us!
Cheryl
I think Boris is really a cutie!
My DH just walked by the computer when I was looking at Boris and said "what does that mean...'he fought me every step of the way'? Its a bear!" I just laughed and thought gee...anybody who's ever made a bear would never ask that...we all know exactly what that means! I'm glad you won the battle
Cheryl
I'm glad that it looks like everything has worked out OK. It was a decent gesture for her to put an apology and a link even if it comes after a threat of legal action (which was absolutely the right thing after your gentle tactics didn't work)- free advertising never hurts. If its any small consolation, at least it wasn't a 'butt ugly' dollarstore bear with your name on it! Upsetting none the less though I bet!
Hope you have a better day today
Cheryl
  Good for you Richy! See...ears and a nose make a HUGE difference. I think he's sweet!
Thanks, Dilu!
How yummy does that sound???
I thought nothing could be better than straight up Nutella!
