Well our little puppies are 3 weeks old today and growing soooooo fast! Amazingly, all 7 have survived and are doing very well. Most of them have already been spoken for by friends and family, so I will be able to visit them all...yeah!

This on is Uno and he has tugged at my heart string and I think he will be a keeper....He is so laid back and mellow. His sweet little personality is starting to emerge and I have fallen in love with his sweet disposition

This is Lucy sticking her tongue out at you.....she will be going to live with my son's girlfriend. puppies_5-8-07_017.jpg

This is Uno and Lucy snuggling out in the grass....it is a beautiful day here in Seattle so I couldn't resist taking them and letting them enjoy it. They still have "wobble legs" but they are getting more stable each day.puppies_5-8-07_022.jpg

This is the whole clan hanging out with Mom

A basket full o' puppies! They wont fit in this much longer! puppies_5-8-07_023.jpg

Its going to be so hard to part with all these sweeties, and I would keep each and every one of them if I could but 10 dogs in one house is far too many!

Aww what a sweet and touching story! I wish Twitch and Snitch well on the life adventures! They started out a little rough, but it sounds as though it will be smooth sailing from here thanks to you and your husband's kind heart and your will to help them!
Its nice to hear these kinds of stories! Thanks for sharing

Hello Shantell. Im sorry to hear about your buyer not paying promptly. If I was you, I would make a final attempt to contact her and let her know it is your final attempt before the item is no longer available to her and appropriate feedback left. If that doesn't get her attention, nothing will unfortunately.
I think we have all had situations like this before and I am just thankful they dont happen often!
I wish you the best of luck on resolving this.

Lemon Wolf

(sorry I dont know your name)...can I ask why you left her positive feedback on B4B if she didnt pay??
I would NEVER leave feedback for someone who hasn't send payment so Im just curious as to why you would do that and then relist on ebay saying she is a non paying bidder.
Inquiring minds wanna know.....

Kim

You can count me in too and if you need any help Jodi, you know where to find me! I would be happy to help you organize this wonderful cause!

Congrats Heather!
Believe me when I say, your life will never be the same. Children make life so full and rewarding (and trying at times too *smiles*). There is nothing like the first time your child sees a butterfly or an airplane...something you and I take for granted because we have seen it thousands of times before, and they are amazed by it. I believe kids make you slow down and look at the simple things in life again...something we all forget to do as we grow older.

A BIG heartfelt congrats to you and hubby!

Kim

Im on board, plus I have 5 kids that can each send one...count us in for 6 cards!

Wishing Shane all the best!

How did I miss this cutie? Those eyes are fantastic!
I just took a peek at your black bear too...wow! You do fantastic work!

Bear Hugs,

Kim

kallie214

Oh this is just too cute! I do think a little bit of "primming" would give her alot of character. I say do it! Maybe use a spray bottle and "spritz" her ever so slightly....

Love her and congrats on her being in the next issue of SD&A! Thats fantastic!

Kim

I really love all your pieces! They are so fun and each time I see one, I wanna eat a cupcake *smiles*

I dont use epoxy at all....hate the stuff! If you dont mix it JUST right, it doesn't dry. On my head joint, I use a dab of super glue....I put some on the back of the bolt head, then I put the washer on, then a put some on the back of the washer and place my hardboard disc on that...let them dry for a few minutes  and it works like a charm!

As far as the loose joint. Im pretty certain I know what the problem is.....you didnt push the fabric all the way down and a small edge of it is getting caught in between the nut and washer when you tighten it down. I have done this several time and I about go nuts trying to tighten it. I simply have to slow down, take the whole joint apart and start the joint process all over. If the fur is caught, you will probably have a hard time removing the washer because the backing/fur is caught up in there.....
Be careful...if you keep trying to tighten your joint and this is indeed the problem, you will burn a hole right through your fabric and have to remake the entire body piece...been there, done that *smiles*

Good Luck to you!

Kim

Dad is with my girlfriend right now, so he hasn't seen his little sweeties yet! He will be home this weekend. It was actually a really good time for him to be away, as mommy is being very protective of her pups right now.

I will attach a pic of him when he was a wee lad.....he is the smaller one on top.

*laughing* I dont think she would agree with you Tracy. She was so big and miserable this last week and I felt so bad for her. Her tummy was almost dragging on the ground!
She looks so thin now because her big ol' belly is gone (wish I would have lost my "baby fat" that quick)  and the fact that seven little babies would take alot of her nutrients.

Bear Hugs,

Kim

kallie214

Yes, it will be a housefull, thats for sure! It should be lots of fun and I cant wait until they start venturing out and playing.

We actually thought there was only 3 or 4. I finally couldn't stay awake any longer and headed to bed at 3:30 this morning and left hubby (who has a few hours of sleep under his belt already) to tend to Mom and the pups. When I woke up this morning, I was shocked when he told me she had SEVEN!

They are all so adorable and Cleo is a fantastic mom! We have some reds (which look more like a chocolate brown right now), a black and tan and a couple with piebald coloring like Dad. I really love the first one that was born...I named him Uno (Im sure that will change) and he is a little chunk. He is a chocolate brown one with a tiny little white spot on the top of his head.

Well I'm off to get coffee, coffee and more coffee......*yawn*

Kim

I know, I know...she looks anorexic now....ewww!  So far, we have offered her food/water several times but she only accepted it once, which I think is pretty normal. The pups are less then 11 hours old, so she is more interested in them right now. Im sure within a day or two, she will be back to her normal self and eating more like a nursing mom should.
I think the having so many puppies drained alot out of her as she is normally a very muscular little dog. It wont be long and she will be back playing in mud puddles and chasing her ball!

Bear Hugs,

Kim

Early this morning, my sweet little Dachshund Cleo FINALLY had her puppies....SEVEN in all!
We have 4 girls and 3 boys, all healthy and happy.
She did fabulous and is a great little first time mommy!
I have attach pics of them. As they get a little bigger, I will get pics of them individually. I dont want to bother mommy and her new babies quite yet.

Yup...Im here...just saw your post. Sorry I havent been on much the last few days.

Yes, Edinburgh does sell it. It is K03...I like the honey colored one best because it is easier to dye then the darker one. I wish they would get white in again *sigh*

Good luck with your tattered ted

Kim

kallie214

*laughing* Yes, she prefers to lay on her back now, but when she does lay on her tummy, so looks like a beached whale....it hysterical!
She should be having her pups any day now and regain her girlish figure.

This is what she looks like on a good day *smirk*

Hummm teddy tips....

Well I use the sinew around my neck too. I also use it to attach my eyes.

I dont use a template for noses, but I couldn't live without my water soluable pen!
With my traditional bears, I use my pen to draw the top of the nose and the bottom of the nose. I use those marks as a guide so my nose goes on straight. Then a dab a bit of water on it when I am done  *poof* pen marks gone!

I fray check my seams AFTER I sew them. By doing this, it gives me the opportunity to inspect every seam as I am applying the fray check and making sure everything is secure and properly sewn.

I hope someone finds this info helpful...

Kim

If you paid via Pay-Pal, you can talk to them and possibly do a charge back. I think the seller is being completely unreasonable. He made the mistake, not you. You shouldn't be out a dime because he misrepresented his item. You could also contact ebay and maybe they can help you out.
That is kinda weird about your bank, but I suppose all our banks are like that too. Both of my son's went to the ATM together and requested money. It gave them a recipt, but no money. (Why the other one even tried when the other was unsuccessful in getting his money, I will never understand...sheesh, teenagers!) Anyways, Our bank did find that they had not received their money and credited their accounts pretty quickly. I hope it works out the same for you!

Im sorry to hear of your troubles and I hope they are resolved quickly...afterall it is Friday the 13th so my advice is go back to bed *smiles*

I just dug through my cabinet and I'm sorry to say, I only have a small piece left...not even close to a half yard. Of course,  I cant find my swatch piece to make sure it is the right color, but Im pretty certain it is. Its an irregular piece because I cut a bear out of it, maybe 16" x 12" but not a full square. I would be happy to send it if you think it may help.

Kim
