Ohhh I guess we shouldn't complain, I hate to sew when it's really warm , I get buried under all that fur and stuffing and all at once I get a hot flash and I swear  I feel like I am on fire. Man I hate hot flashes, OK maybe the snow isn't too bad, I did get out today, which so did EVERYBODY, there was traffic jams everywhere I went. But hey the sun was out the temp was  +10 ,    :dance: We're havin a heat wave......A tropical heat wave.....   :dance:

OK I am seriously grossed out        
We were going out tonight to get a new mattress for both my husband and I 's bed and my sons, and I noticed a discount store , Big lots had Sealy Mattresses really checap, ewwwwwwwwwww now I am wondering if that is why they are so cheap. I think I will go to the more expensive store just to be on the safe side.   Man everywhere you look someone is trying to make a buck at others expense. I saw a thing about how heavy an old mattress can get with dust mite stuff and that grossed me out but at least they would be my little mites..

On a much better note how cool Krista to get a present, that is a wonderful idea.

I have been housebound for 5 days now, with a hyper chihuahua and a hyper, just turned 11 year old boy.

Louise you are so lucky, I love Canada, we have been up so many times on vacation, what a wonderful place.

Sue Ann, I am so happy for you , I kept looking for it, I must say that I would be proud of myself if I were you , because even a wonderful bear company like Steiff can not capture the complete beauty of an original Sue Ann Holcomb. It is still a wonderful bear and I am soooooo Happy for you. What an honor.

I have tried to get one of your Holly the Holiday bears for years but no one wants to part with theirs which I think says a lot for the bear and the artist. One day she will be mine!!!!!

Oops I didn't know to not turn it inside out, because when you ship overseas you can't have it marked priority, it was the mail clerk that told me to do it, I do that for every box I send overseas, I also think they need to mark it different, I agree it does seem more noticeable with the way they have it painted, but I guess that makes it easier to spot when they are sorting it.

I know it is hard to not have sales the whole month of Feb. so to do that, would be asking too much of everyone because, bills don't stop coming, but like I said, I sure can keep from buying stuff there and let me tell you, that alone should kill their bottom line, because I am reminded all the time by my husband, that I spend a fortune there.

Excuse all of my posts, but if I don't communicate with someone over the age of 10 I am going to start climbing the walls, usually if I get on TT I don't get my work done, so I try to limit how much I come here, but OMG I have looked at every animal book we have, I have played 28 games of go fish, we have done 9 crafts and talked endlessly about which Pokemon I like best,Arghhhhhhhhhh!!!!!!!!!!!  (oh did you know they have a Teddy Bear Pokemon, That's my favorite)

I have seen these too and I have been working on a pattern to try to make one of these little guys and it is driving me crazy!!!!!!!!!!!!!!  I saw a video of a baby panda on youtube that just cracked me and my son up, if you go there type in the word "panda" that will take you to videos of them , the first one should be titled "baby panda"  it's about 24 seconds long and for some reaon I just think it is really funny.
I love the captions on these pictures, Jackson loved the Evil Knievel one.

Have any of you used the postage on line thing, where you pay postage on line then print  your own mailing label and send it from home? I am thinking of using it, but not sure it will be as fast, I have a niece in florida that I sent a package to, I mailed it on tuesday morning and it was there by 5:00 wednesday. I used priority , now if I do it from home does it take a lot longer or is it as fast? if it adds just a day, I may go for it. but if it adds a bunch of days not sure if I would like it.

Jodi, I use the online service for Canada Post all the time and I expect UPSP is similar.  The delivery time isn't any different as I can choose the delivery method I want , and I think I get a little discount to use the online service here.  It is so much better than standing in line at the post office.  I print out the forms, attach to the box and can either drop it in a mailbox or at the post office.  It is fun walking to the front of the line and plopping the box on the counter   !!!    Now if I can only get Canada Post to give out free boxes like USPS...that still amazes me....they charge about $4 for 1 small box here.   

I say give it try Jodi !

P.S.  To keep on topic........SHILL BIDDING is wrong, no if ands or buts.   I didn't know about the Ebay protest- oops.

Tammy thanks for the imput , that cracked me up about the walking in and plopping down the box, I know I hate when I am walking in trying to balance 4 or 5 boxes and people that come in after me with one little envelope  look at me and groan, then I try to whisper really quiet "yes I need a customs form and signature comfirmation please"  Man I hate that.

Yes it is nice about the free boxes, not sure how they afford it, I think they are getting us addicted to it and will one day stop it and we will be like crack addicts, willing  to pay any price just to get those big bundles of boxes delivered to us.  I am thinking of stocking up.

If ebay would do away with the 2nd chance offer feature it would solve a lot of the problems, I have never used the 2nd chance offer thing and I have been on ebay since it began, nor would I use it if ever offered, but I have never had it offered on an auction I have bid on. I think ebay makes money from shill bidders , I don't believe they approve of them at all, but I don't see a burning motivation to stop them, I just see them putting into place a system that protects the shillers even more.

If he is old enough to not rub it in his eyes, put vicks vapor rub all over his neck and ear, then use low low heat. If he would put it in his eyes, just use a warm wash cloth, with cotton in his ear , I used batting one time when I didn't have any cotton balls. keeping the sound out seems to make it feel better. Also you can buy ear drop oil , you warm it (make sure not hot)  then put a few drops in , then put cotton ball in, followed by warm wash rag or heating pad.  I have one friend swear by warming olive oil and putting a few drops of that in, followed by cotton and warmth.

Boy I sure feel for you guys, I hope you all are better soon.

Shelli once you get to Washington, find the underground train, it keeps you out of the weather and it takes you everywhere, we found it on the 2nd to the last day of our trip there and really wished we had found it sooner, I didn't realize you were on vacation, I had went to your website, I didn't know you were doing so many other things, you are so multi talented, I had a couple questions, don't worry about messing with them while you are trying to vacation, have fun , stay warm and enjoy yourself!

The really cool thing about the picture is when you look at it up close, it's really neat, but when you set it on a chair and move back from it, it starts to focus into this really wonderful picture!

If you go to page 88 of that thread you can see the flyer with some of the information also on that page someone has copied ebays sale numbers during the protest, this is hurting ebay and I do hope they will listen because I used to love how ebay was in the beginning.

Ebay can stop second chance offers by making it impossible to contact another ebayer you have no business dealings with, they can require a credit card to anyone joining ebay as they do sellers,  Remove the 2nd chance offer feature and alert their membership they have done so.   These scammers will send messages saying "you have won my shirt auction" it looks all offical and you think "hey I didn't bid on a shirt" I better check it out, some people have done this and that is one way they get your password because they have a link where you "sign in"  Ebay just needs to educate their membership to never connect to their site thru an email.   As I stated before there is a protest going on and I am asking everyone who can, to not list anything for this week, but I know bills need to be paid, but you can, not spend your hard earned dollars there, my husband loves this kind of protest, it saves him all kinds of money.   I didn't sign up for ebays  new private bidder thing, ebay has taken that choice out of my hands and I think it is completely wrong.

Update: the protest goes thru until the 28th , as I said I know some are dependent to ebay income , if you have to list, do it, but as I said you don't have to spend your money there, lets remind ebay what has made it so great.

It looks like postage would run around 5.25 and the magazine is 5.99 for a total of $11.24 to Great Britian and Australia, if you have paypal we can run it thru there, maybe that is what the magazine is charging, If there are a couple that live near by each other we could combine shipping to save some, I also know this is the US dollar amount which I think the exchange rate will make it a better deal for you.

Oh you bring back memories to me when I was younger I had a horse and I had to sometimes walk two miles to the stable where we kept her when it was snowy and cold I would almost freeze. I had so much fun having a horse and one day if I ever get the land I want I am going to have some.

The magazine is out to subscribers and should be hitting news stands soon, I am getting a couple issues for some that live overseas, so I will keep an out for it.

It is a really great issue and they have a picture at the beginning of the facebook section that would be the coolest poster, my son and I had fun looking for my little mouse in the picture it was kind of a "where's Waldo" game, this was really, really cool idea. What fun it was seeing everyone's wonderful bears.

Mindy if you look on here , first, Great Job , 

second what's the chances of this collage picture being offered as a poster?, the mouse I have in there is inspired by my accountant / beancounter husband,  I would love to get a larger version of it and frame it to put up in his office.

Tami, They are a great book series to read to the kids, he is so silly and the kids really connect with that, Thanks so much for the kind words about my Paddington, he was so fun to make, I got his hat at Goodwill, which is a store that takes donations and sales it, then uses the money to help people with special needs. I found the old looking suitcase at Hobby Lobby, which if you watch you can get it really cheap when they start marking stuff down. If you do make one, please post it, I would love to see it.

I think the thing that appeals to me most about bid4bears is Nancy's feeling on shill bidding, after reading her posts and the fact that she is so completely against it and those that do it  makes me excited about the site.

If you think someone has shill bid, copy the info that makes you think they are, I copy EVERYTHING because the older I get the worse my memory is, print it for your records because ebay only keeps some info 30 days, once it's gone it's gone.
